Heard that's a bad area. Most of Tampa seems either high crime or insanely expensive (my target price for a 2BR is around $1000/month), at least according to areavibes.com, though I've got about a dozen apartments I'm looking at, mostly in Brandon, but also a couple in South Tampa, a couple in Carrollwood, and a couple west of the airport.

Please take discussion of local rent prices to the Regional Communities subforum. Thanks!

Have to believe obviously the wpt will draw bigger fields.
Series starting in 3 days. Anybody got info about this?

830pm and the lists are absurd. Why are there 18 1/2 tables with 60 on list but Only 5 2/5 with 35 waiting. Seems like they had no plans how to handle this (or extra space???)

I was there when the lists were huge Saturday night and they went relatively quick as they opened up new tables, only about a 20 minute wait for 2-5 when the list was 30+ people when I signed up.

What's the prize pool been like on the Saturday 30K? How late has that Tournament been running?

Thanks Anyone.

Nothing on the July Calendar. They will have at least a couple of Satty's for that Main in Hollywood(based on past years). They might add one in late July or just wait until August. They might even have a early August Promo tied to that Main.

I was there last Saturday and got there at around 10pm, and it had JUST gotten into the money.... which was 24 players left I believe... and it started at 10am I think.. So it's definitely a long grind.

Promos this month are off the wall and the traffic reflects it.

I guess, yeah, but this is kinda disgusting. It's gonna be an actual infestation of nits for the entire month, worse than it's ever been. My god.

I reserve judgment until after the holiday, the 30/30 tournament always creates huge cash game wait lists too.

I know it's still a holiday weekend, but the Hard Rock REALLY needs to do something about this wait list, because this is the 3rd time now in 3 weeks, I haven't gone, just because I don't feel like going and sitting for an hour + before playing where if I could just put my name on the list before hand, and Bravo or the Hard Rock can be like "Your seat should be available at Approximately 9:07pm, please show up within 10 minutes of that time, or your seat will be forfeited or something like that..

It's 2017, there's no way in the world you shouldn't be able to put yourself on the waitlist... This weekend had almost 200 person wait lists, today was around 40-50 everytime I looked, and I really wanted to play, but sitting there for 2 hours just waiting to play is the worst.... Had I been able to put my name on the list, and shown up in an hour and a half, 2 hours, I was planning on playing a 6-8 hour session tonight and now nothing, I'm sure I'm not the only person that's in the same boat, that didn't play this weekend or basically any weekend because of the wait lists lately... I'm guessing it would cost them about $10.00 an hour to hire someone to put them on a list and give them an appx. time, feel like it would be a good investment with how busy the new room has been since it's been open....

It is pretty absurd that a room this size does not accept callins for 2/5+. I was there many days during the wptds and couldn't understand why they would have 12+ 1/2 games and only 2 2/5 games running with long lists for both. Turn over is 3x quicker (if not more lol) in 1/2 games and it wouldn't hurt anyone to have and extra couple 2/5s running as well. Also some of the brush take way too long to make the 3 calls per name to get them off or seated. This along with game dispertion needs to be corrected IMO in the near future.

Also, I was very disappointed at the action for the 2/5 during the series. Extremely dried up IMO bunch of short stacked bad nits that wouldn't put more than $15 in pre without JJ. Quite surprising as I noticed a lot of the better 2/5 regs out of town. I guess this will be expected with the promos this month killing the games as well....

Poker rooms could really use some smallish stakes LHE to come back in to fashion.. some nice consistent 5-10 thru 10-20 LHE at SHRT would warm my heart. Would be a lot more action than most of the terrible 1/2 NL games as well..

It seems to me that there isn't any financial incentive for the HR to do call-ahead wait lists. If all the tables are full and have long wait lists, there is no financial advantage to adding more players who aren't in the room to the wait lists, even if some of them won't show up without it. It will just cost them for that extra person they will need to answer the phones, etc.; plus the extra confusions that can occur when wait-listed players don't show up, or show up a minute or two after their name gets de-listed ("but it took a long time to find parking"). It would be nice for the players, but probably makes no sense from the point of view of management.

Not sure how that holds any water. They always have someone at the brush stand regardless to answer the phone and in the box podium with a floor person there staring at the bravo table display(?? What are they doing all day in there lol) so it's not a money issue IMO.

Anywho, can we get some updates to how the 2/5 has been this month with the promos.running as per my concerns in prior post.

Call ins would be nice...it's the Hard Rock. This room wants the path of least resistance. The room could be great, but it's not. Too many inconsistent floors, bad dealers, and an unwillingness to change. A few things here and there could make this room so much more profitable and a more enjoyable experience for the the players.

1. Staff more dealers
2. Staff more brushes
3. Have multiple chip carts in the room at all times (buy ins and rebuys should be handled by the carts 90% of the time). It should not take dealers 5 minutes to count their wells. Dealers should not be getting a fill every down.
4. Get on the same ****ing page with floor rulings. Be consistent.
5. If there's an interest list for a game that might not run (5/10 nl+, mixed games, etc) have people check in at the podium before calling it to make sure the game will run. Some people will play shorthanded, some people won't.

I'm sure there's a lot more but my thumbs are tired and I'm done ranting for now.

Anyone at the Rock and know how bad the lines are for 1/2 or 2/5?

The Bravo website doesn't appear to be working right now...

Hello everyone. I am going to be traveling to the Tampa area next week tagging along with the wife on a work trip. I noticed that the Hard Rock had a July promo where you got $500 for 50 hours of live play. If I were to put in 50 hours of play while in Tampa does anyone know how/when a player can validate their promo hours for payout?

Would it be something you can cash in on a certain day of the week? Do you have to wait until the end of the month? etc.

Thanks for any assistance.
