No. The line plays and forward motion does not count unless it crosses the line.I believe the same holds true for tournament action in this room.

A dealer had told me that the rule was going to be you couldn't tranfer FROM a new table that just opened, not that people couldn't transfer INTO it. The idea was that If people could leave right away to get to a table with lots of chips, then the new table would break or get short handed and piss everyone off.

But I haven't seen it used yet, so I don't know which version is correct.

As far as new rules getting implemented, the THR always seems to do a poor job. Last week we had a premature burn and turn, and the supervisor told her to deal the natural river, then shuffle the exposed card, and the dealer had no clue what she was talking about, and kept trying to shuffle the card in first. The dealer said afterward no one had said anything about that to her. i remember the same thing happening when they started to let you buy the button. A full month after they started that, a dealer would be totally unaware of the new rule.

Is it really so hard to add stuff to the website that it was impossible to get the info about the 20 hour gas card promo onto the site? And is there a reason not to start telling people who visit the website about the high hand promos that are ongoing this month?

IMHO, promos do a better job of attracting additional people into the poker room when you don't have to actually already be in the damn poker room in order to find out about them.

Just a thought. /rant

I would have been there today and tomorrow if they posted promos discussed above on their website or even on the bravo app.

So I swiped my card and looked at my "promotions" and I see some stuff I don't know what it is. I tried to ask the counter and they looked at me cross eyed. I get the gas card, and the high hands (could they have made this any more ridiculously obtuse? Different hours for different days with different amounts? High hands until 11:59 is tremendous! Should have made it 11:57 to really give it some meaning). Anyway the hard rock in Hollywood actually has a monthly flyer on line with all the promos on it. Is there such a thing here? Thanks.

I asked about all those weird promos months ago as they show up, and was told that the system picks up promos from Hollywood as well as Tampa. Seems like they ought to be able to fix that.

Hollywood does such a better job of getting info out on their promos and communicating with the players on the internet. It so simple to do, yet THR seems incapable of doing it right. For example, I've got to give them credit for adding a link to the monthly tournaments and the BBj rules. But why in the world is the link to "progressive rules" (and why not call the link Jackpots or something?) listed under the monthly tournaments banner? It's got nothing at all to do with tournaments. But mainly I wonder, how come no one at the THR sees this and either hires a marketing manager or fires the one they have?

Thanks for the reply. So I have to self-sort my promos out on the system? Wow.

I also saw that they have the progressive rules under the tournaments link and I actually made a comment on this thread thinking they would maybe fix it. I have no idea why the web site is so underutilized and poorly designed. People from out of town have to come here and ask questions about the games which are running, etc. It makes no sense. I also commented that an email list with notifications of events and promos as they become relevant would be nice. They do it in all other casinos. No response on that one either.

Rule is nonsense. Just have to get on the list in addition to asking for a transfer.

I also saw people simply hop to the new table.

I'm going to be in the Orlando area for a few weeks this month and I'm trying to decide which casinos to visit. According to my Bravo app, Seminole Hard Rock Tampa spreads

$1/1 NL
$1/2 NL
$2/5 NL

What are the current min/max buy-ins?

I've never heard of $1/1 NL running. What's the game like? Do a lot of people buy in for full stacks or is it mostly short-stackers looking to gamble?

It went a couple of week days last week, but has struggled to run during the week. Wednesday or Thursday your best bet. They just dropped the max buy in to $2500,which seems to have increased the participation.

The single table $55 sattys pay a $160 voucher to top 3. Those dollars can be used towards any WPT event during the 10 days. Likewise thete are $160 STT sattys that pay $480, I think, and then $480s that pay $1650, which gets you into the main event. Lots of the 55 STTs run daily; not that many 160s, and I dont know if they ever actually ran any of the 480s. Many people win a 160 voucher and then sell them.

In addition to the STT sattys, they are having a $70 MTT satty this Thursday for seats into event #1. And next week they are having a 220 MTT satty, I think two different nights, prior to the main event for seats in it.

As to how soft the 55 STTs are, I havent played enough of them to really say. I played in two, won a voucher in one. But by the time we got 6 handed, it was almost always someone shoving and someone calling. So the chip lead changed each time based on who won the flip. If you dont catch cards or get lucky when the blinds get so high, it's tough to win. At least that's my experience in them.

I noticed on Bravo that the BBJ is now showing $5k, so I guess the $332k got hit today or yesterday. Now I wish I had listened to that little voice in my head that said "don't spend the $160k until you actualy win it". But I was so sure!

That press release is from Jan 2011 when it went off at over $500k. I was playing at the table right next to them when it happened. More BBJ bad memories coming back to me
