I'm surprised HR gives dealers 7 sick days a year......Gotta have a plan in place to prevent snowflakes banging out every time they get a tummy ache.
A few days ago I watched a man sneeze violently into his hands, then immediately reach for his cards. First time it occurred how truly disgusting the cards must be. I'm amazed dealers don't have hand sanitizer on them like the massage girls.

(Trying REAL hard not to think of how many people use the restroom and don't wash their hands.)

I saw 1000-2000 NL Holdem on Bravo last night. Was that a glitch?

I like when people order finger food and suck on their fingers after grabbing chips/cards.

I've seen the exact same thing, more than once. I actually called someone out for it one time. Does nobody know the dracula sneeze technique? This should be a basic thing taught to everyone in childhood.

So if I want to play nights what times should I be showing up? Ideally I want to play like 7PM to 5AM or similar. Waiting list right now is ludicrous. What time does it start to die down? I'll play 8 to 6 or maybe even 9 to 7 if there's no ridiculous wait.

Show up anytime after this Monday and you'll be fine.

Multi way all-ins and players rebuying for $200. Randoms coming in and burning their buy-ins chasing. Nits coming in and asking for table changes because of the "crazy play" (you know the type who whine "it'd be nice to see a cheap flop.") Most hands were raised pre-flop and go multi-way through the turn.

The good tables are there and with so many tables running there is no reason to glue yourself to a bad table.
Obviously the games are going to be more action packed on a Friday or Saturday, but that being said, sitting there for 2+ hours on a waitlist to get into the game, that still won't be nearly as good as a normal Friday or Sat night game... No thanks.

Why would anyone wait 2 hrs to play poker in that soul-less poker room? Its just a bunch of tables lined up in 4 rows. No style at all. The operation of the room is one of the worst Ive ever played in. I put in for a table transfer and listened as they called 15-20 new players before finally calling me for my transfer. You also apparently cant transfer into a new table. WTF is that rule?

The lighting is atrocious. The tables are too close together. The TVs are small and cant be seen from most of the seats in the room. Its very very loud. Of all the poker rooms Ive played in it is without a doubt my least favorite. Id rather play at Derby or Silks any day.

I absolutely wouldnt wait 2 hours to play with a bunch of bonus hunting nits in this room. Having said that, when I was there I was 22nd on the list and was playing in 18 minutes.

What time did you get there on the 22nd? Because from everything I've heard or seen or anytime I checked Bravo, there was pretty much never a point I saw the list was under 70 people for the 1/2 game anyways.

Derby is kind of warm. Area seems sketchy also. Haven't been to Silks. I'm guessing aside from the promotion people play here because there's table selection and the player pool sucks. I actually like the casino. Good temperature, comfortable chairs, and the "atrocious" lighting is a huge plus in my book--I still have to put on shades after 6 hours to avoid getting a migraine.

I don't know that I'd wait 2 hours to play there. But I went today and had no wait. My table was quite nitty but these guys are super easy to exploit when they're just trying to hit their 50 hours. Makes them very risk averse, so I just played super aggressive and they gave it up way too often. Left +700. I hope I continue to run into tables like this. You don't need cards when people fold too much.

No idea why you care about the arrangement of the tables. Play poker to make money, not for the feng shui.

I was playing 2/5. I actually was there on July 22nd, but I meant I was 22nd on the 2/5 list but still got seated in 18 minutes. In other words, the list went very fast.

Im going to make money wherever I play poker. I would rather play and win money in a place that I enjoy being in.

The chairs are the most comfortable of any poker chair Ive ever sat in though, and thats a big selling point if youre going to sit for hours and hours. Especially if you have a bad back.

The tables there are literally the best tables I've played on. They have to be 4-6 inches longer than most tables. Plenty of room while seated. No being squeezed between players esp vs situations when trying to get a table squared. Not a problem here. Would much rather have room at the table over room between tables. Combine longer tables with cup holders to help morons know where their personal space actually is. Thumbs up for me.

This part should be posted in pet peeves: dealer can you square the table? One player moves 2 inches. No one else moves at all. Ok thanks for trying. I've yet to come across a dealer (let alone players) who ever square the table properly.

Yeah tables are quite nice. Since a lot of poker players don't bathe as often as they should it's nice to have a few more inches between your nose and their armpits. LOL....

Also I noticed they have USB ports for every seat, which is pretty great. I don't know if that's standard but I've definitely seen places that don't have that. My phone definitely can't make it 10-11 hours without a USB port.

And I do play long sessions so those comfy chairs are a godsend. Having the tables like 50% closer together than at Derby doesn't bother me at all. Makes things slightly more noisy but I think that's good for the game. Last thing you want is a quiet poker room IMO.

My only complaint about SHRT so far is that they don't take call-ins for the waitlist, but none of the casinos around here do AFAIK. Also I would prefer the tables had betting lines, but that's no big deal. Dealers seem pretty nice. I've only encountered one who seemed a bit gruff over about 60 hours so far.

Yes, what day? I'm like a month from being back down there, but would play every week once I am.

a weekly 10/25 could easily run with the regs around the area, just not sure how good the game would actually be.

This username is the handle of Paul Dlugozima, who was accused of scamming another 2+2 user out of $500k in a home blackjack game. I would recommend exercising extreme caution when interacting with him.

Just don't bet black jack and sports with him, you'll be fine.#yayo

Wednesday noon game.

This would attract some players who play in the private 5/T (they play Tue and Fri)

My guess is we'd need a solid 6-7 regs and the randoms would fill the remaining seat.

Hi, In currently visiting FL and wanted to know how the 1/2, 2/5 games are before I drive 90 miles to play. Havent played in FL in about 8 years when I used to go to Orange Park but I remember how terrible many of the players were. Also, what are the max buy ins and are the waits still very long on Saturday. Thanks.

Waits are pretty short lately, though Saturday afternoons / evenings would still be the busiest times. But I doubt you'd wait more than 10 to 15 minutes. You can check out waitlists on Bravo.

1/2 is $300 max BI

2/5 is $1000 max BI

The 1/2 games are pretty soft IMO. Sometimes I'm at a table with zero regs. Sometimes I'm a table with five. Usually there's a couple regs but most aren't that great and tend towards the nitty side. If you table select well you can find a very soft game most days/times.

Does THR have generators and enough fuel to keep it going for 2-3 days? If I lose power for three days, I'd much rather play poker in the AC than sweat it out at home.
