New room downstairs. How about getting it enclosed so we don't have to breathe in the smoke and hear slot machines.

So the room on the 2nd floor is no longer used?

No more poker on 2nd floor. It was a horrible experience playing downstairs.

It's unfortunately true, the poker tables are next to the 1st Street Deli. The lighting isn't great. And there is a sign the reads "NON SMOKING AREA."

It's garbage and it's been going downhill, how about this you can't get food ordered to the table, you have to go get it yourself....

I'm not going to explain the smoke as its self explanatory, the room and was poorly run and this change seemed to make things worse. It took me forever to get a seat and when I finally got to a table they said the seay had been open for an hour.

They said they were putting in some sort of exhaust system for the smoke, I'm not sure when it is coming. Maybe we will get some slot players to play but anything short of that this is terrible

Blech. Just went there to check it out. Disgusting. Smells like an ash tray, lighting is horrible and the smoky haze makes it worse. Bye bye, Coco Creek. I will play tourneys in the ballroom but not in this area.

Does the $240 OE tourney on Jan. 25 really have 20-minute levels, or is that a misprint? It's really 30 minutes, right?

Another question about the upcoming tournaments- Are they running any single table satellites (or of any kind) for the upcoming series which starts tomorrow?

The poker area is not in a great area for people to stumble on over and join the game. It's right next to the 1st street deli - which is in the corner of the casino. Most who visit the casino will never see the poker area.

Almost did not go today because of all the awful reports. Glad I went. While the old room was super comfortable it was also very low energy and bland. I like the open area set up. Smoke wise I was fine inside the area. What sucked was having to go through the floor to get paid at the main cashier. That was smokey. (Still beats having to go upstairs during the series).. I was told they plan to have a cashier for the poker room eventually.

There is a food menu and service now. It just does not include the deli which you have to get yourself.

Conversation today in the room amongst 1_2 players that if 2_5 was capped at $500 instead of 1k they would play. Small sample size, but most people i asked agreed. Can we look into it?

Unrelated to poker but fitting within the thread: Are any of you table games APs who might want to PM me? I'm very intrigued by their no back off policy. Cutting a shoe in half seems to be their only go to, and of course if 1) They aren't going to back you off even if spreading big and 2) These 50-60% pen shoes don't significantly impact shuffle tracking, ace sequencing...
idk as someone who hasn't played in a place like AC where this is the standard, I just find the whole circus silly. Maybe my rating isn't as accurate as I'd like, but I can still play for comps, which honestly flow pretty reasonably. Not great, but I'm not getting screwed. That brings up my last point. I could use a casino host if anyone wants to refer one they work with.

Just be prepared to sit feet away from smokers - as they took a row of tables (closest to the deli out) and placed slot machines with smoking allowed there. Just feet away from the poker tables and feet away from the deli counter.

I am new to Florida poker. I just moved from Seattle where we have card rooms everywhere plus the Indian casinos. I like 1/3 NLH, 2/5 NLH, 2/5 PLO or BigO, even 10/20 limit. What I really enjoy are mixed games. What can I expect at this casino for each day of the week?
