The cool thing about some of the player pool at the Sands is that some guys will literally be playing 1/2 the one night, 5/10 the next night, only to end up playing 1/2 again the 3rd night, it's quite a strange dynamic of players throughout each level.
I notice this more on saturday night than friday. I think it has everything to do with the wait list length on the 2/5, 5/5 & 5/10. I made a comment on this very thing a week ago. It does change the table dynamics at the 1/2. Upper level players are easy to spot when they sit at 1/2 and most don't know it. They sit down with BI's of green chips instead of red....just food for thought/info.

From what Ive noticed usually in the earlier part of the afternoon. Who knows with tomorrow though being that it is typically the worst day for travel all year.

Re: Sands Casino·Resort (Bethlehem, PA)

What happened to all the O8 players? There is a 19 table clutter right now at Sands of the usual NLHE games and only 2 on O8 interest list? Is it the bad beat jackpot of nearly 340K that have the O8 players playing NLHE? Thought for sure we would get a game going today, but looks like the NLHE flood is taking over the room shortly leaving no tables left in sight. Sad to see, guess another boring night of NLHE. On a lighter note, have never seen worse players at Sands than I have recently. Some of the plays I have seen last night were so terrible that I almost threw up. One guy called an all in shove of 500 on 299 rainbow flop with AK off and turned a A. Another a guy check raised me all in with a gut-shot straight draw with no overs with zero fold equity to me already committing half his stack prior to his check raise shove. It was almost comical to see these trainwreck players. Maybe playing some NLHE tonight may not be such a bad thing in hindsight. Still being optimistic about O8 though.

Him check raising me all in had no chance of me folding almost any hand whatsoever in my range. I bet into him for more than half his remaining stack and he shoved which was only another like 38 more for me to call. His push all in had no chance of getting me off my hand. If I called, he had 4 outs to win the hand. If we both started the hand with like 400 and I bet after he checked for like 50 into a pot of say 50, and he check raises me to 200, then he would of had fold equity. I would of only of been committing 75 and would of needed to call an additional 125. Bluff or not this kind of play may of got me to fold somewhat of a hand if he reads me for weak or just thinks I am c-betting the flop. With his effective stack size during the hand the play was terrible with a showdown value of 9 hi if he does not hit his four outter knowing I am not gonna fold to his all in push of very little more to call. Hope it makes sense and sorry for strategy talk in a B & M thread.

Re: Sands Casino·Resort (Bethlehem, PA)

Currently waiting on the 1/2 nl waiting list with 80 players on the wait list. Was told that the wait time could be 2 hours. Wtf???? This is ridiculous. I guess back to Parx or AC next time.

or as people have stated before the BBJ is +340k. People are playing for a jackpot and not playing poker. Should be +EV to the bankroll.

I tried to use some of what you said tonight at the 1/2 tables, didn't go over so well, I ended up losing $119, lost a pot with AA, and had K2dd on a A834A 4 diamond and some fish had A8. So sick, hopefully next session will go better.

I'm curious about this as well. Will Sands upgrade a Harrahs Diamond card?
