Played flight 1D I know Dave is out but....
End of night players counted and bagged there chips with no verification from dealer or floor per floors instructions "just count them and seal the bag".
Start of day 2 floor gives normal tournament speech but does not tell dealers to deal or start tournament clock. Some dealers started dealing others did not, this is pointed out to floor he says to wait until they come around and open bags of missing players. After a few minutes it is noticed that two tables are still playing and this is pointed out to floor and he tells dealers if the bags are all open on your table to start dealing. Clock still not started we had some tables dealing and some sitting idle.

How many tables are usually running when the seat giveaways occur before their Saturday deep stack events?

It's usually pretty busy on those days, there are about 10 sometimes 12 or more tables by the final drawing.

you guys really need a straddle option in PLO and always the option to run it more than once. the 5/5 never really ever gets off so a straddle is a good option.

5+1

the comp is based on how long you play. I have over a dollar (not that it's anything to brag about).

Come on down, I need more victims.

I noticed it was hit last week, but since it's been a year since I hit one I don't pay attention to it anymore.

Wanted to let Davie finish his investigation before I commented in here but now that he's done I can. I was playing in a 2/5 game at Sands a while back ago where I was all in vs a person with AK. It was a Friday night and this guy on my left had his girlfriend basically sitting in my space railing him. Most people would probably object and the lady be removed but I figured I'd avoid the conflict and just let it go. Anyway the board runs out Axxxx. I was in the 8 seat and my opponent was in the 3. I was pretty confident I had the winning hand and since I'm a humane person I wanted to reveal my cards to the player all the way across the table as fast as I could to let him know how strong my hand was. This gesture along with my lack of space caused me to awkwardly toss my cards face up into the middle. The King laded perfectly on its back in the middle of the table, while the ace, a light piece of plastic, floated off the edge of the table between the 9 seat and the dealer like a feather. The dealer looked at me like he had just watched my kids die and said "there's no way I can give you the pot now" and I immediately realized what had happened. Despite all my pleas the floor came over and ruled that indeed despite the Ax being logically my card and visible for all to see, my hand was dead and the other guys queens were awarded the pot. I can't begin to truly explain how bad that feeling feels. Knowing that because of a little gust of wind and physics and me trying to be a nice guy costs me a sizeable amount of money when just a hint of common sense could be used to right such a wrong. I heard another horror story of this happening to a rec player in a sizeable pot. Its awful for the game, it's borderline criminal, and the rule needs to be adjusted immediately. I protested this to Dave but to no avail. I urge all of you who play cash at Sands to reconsider. I would be shocked if at other casino's this same rule existed where judgement and common sense can't be applied on such an outdated rule. /rant.

Sucks that you chose to toss your cards instead of simply turning them up and keeping them in your possession until the pot is pushed to you as is proper etiquette and procedure.

The rule is if any card hits the floor, your hand is dead. It's pretty cut and dry. I know this to be the case at not only the Sands but many other rooms.

Also, it's not too easy for a card to accidentally fall off the table. Just table your cards in front of you, there's no need to throw them across the table.

I was in a 5/10 game in the last table by the bar about a year ago when the pot was about 7K and one of the all-in players was so excited that he won the pot, he slammed his hand down on the table and one card bounced off. While they were waiting for the floor and he was still celebrating, I knew they were gonna kill his hand (and so did the dealer). He got so mad that security had to come and physically escort him out of the room.

I would think that once a hand is tabled that nothing can kill it. So if you turned the Ace face up and on the table at any point, the hand should be considered tabled at that point and not killed if it ultimately slides off the table.

It was all so quick. It never actually was "tabled Tho" it flashed for a second and hit the table but it never landed on the table. I mean even it was visible they wouldn't care enough to check the cameras and make an effort to determine if they could see it was my card or not. I mean I just do not understand how hard it is for the floor to be called over. They ask the dealer what happened. Dealer explains and they pick up the card and im awarded the pot. It's insane that's not standard protocol. Davie's explination is that it would be too time consuming to have to suit up the deck each time. So the rare occurance something like this happens. The time not spent getting rake for the tables is more important then the protection of the customers rightful pot. Logical. Anyone know if I have any shot of getting my case heard with the PA gaming commission to get this rule changed in some regard. It's borderline unlawful.
