I knew almost everyone on the 5/10 O8 list last night and they are pretty bent that list was wiped.

Thanks in advance for explanation.
That's no good. I will address. My preferred method is update the list from time by roll call. Thanks for the feedback.

Davey Gravey,

Can you confirm this?

thanks,

Some changes coming but will be awhile. Likely going back to one BBJ that will be lower that 8's. The exact hand is not written in stone as of yet. Feedback from the forum certainly welcome if you would like.

I was never really a fan of the split bbj and of all the player comments at the table, the consensus is everyone prefers a single jackpot. I also hope the qualifier stays the same since I will probably be the one who loses with quad 2's right after the qualifier gets raised (that would really be a bad beat).

However, it got as high as 600K in June 2012 with one jackpot and a quad dueces qualifier. I would like to see it go back to how it was with hot seats rather than a high hand promos because I think the hot seat brought in a lot more players than the high hand did.

I agree with promo logic of Playbig. Hot seat is 10x better a promo than high hand will ever be. I don't think anyone even cares about high hand anymore. I would come play nlhe if the hot seat was going and that says a bunch about that promo given that's the only way I would play nlhe.

I just read that some renovations/expansion is in the works-any chance of a separate poker room?

I also prefer returning to a single bad beat with quad 2s as the qualifier.

I would also like to echo the single BBJ statement, everyone I know that plays at Sands feels the same.

Yea I probably just noticed it more recently. I really wish there was a way to minimize the smoke in the non-smoking area because even if I quickly walk from elevators to poker room and stay there for my entire trip and go directly back to elevators, I come home with itchy eyes, congested nose/throat and my clothes stinking like smoke.

Must be Pennsylvania fall allergies aside from the clothes smelling like smoke part. Dont know if theres any way to better keep smoke smell out of non smoking areas in casinos. Is Sands worse than others?

Nice to see some hot seat promos coming up on bravo. The aces cracked is a fun promo but 50 bux is too little. Should be 100 since u will lose more than 50 playing aces like a jackass. Also glad to see the bounty events coming up.

Please tell me which of the bounty events will be downstairs? I also agree Bbj should be one and think smoke is bad at certain parts of room.

Hi Davey,

Thanks for putting the structures of the daily tournaments on the sands website. But, the Saturday tournament still refers to the old $200 buy-in. Is the structure for the new $150 and $300 tournaments the same as the old $200 tournament? If not, can you have someone update it on the site?

thanks in advance.

Once again you overprice a tournament. The $1500 Deepstax is another classic example of this where you were lucky to break to even. $400 buy in for a 30k guarantee. wow. not exciting. yes i know $100 is for a bounty which should attract casual players except $400 is too much for most casual players.

Why wouldn't you want what they have going in Bensalem or all the other great tournaments on the east coast? its a pretty simple formula. $330 for 150k guarantee. THAT gets people to get excited and take off work, that gets people to drive 3 hours to come and play.

I say use the BBJ money to get rid of the paneling under the tables so we have leg room.

I will get that updated. Structure is same. $150 buy-in chip count is 20k versus 25k for the $300 buy-in.

obviously the casino would love to put it elsewhere and put slots or table games in, that is their bread and butter. However, the way it is not is very unique.
I have spent hours upon hours in other rooms staring at 4 walls but I prefer the energy this room has over a separate room and I would hate to see it go.
They're building another hotel tower soon so there is always the possibility they will relocate it then.

Good stud 8 tourney yesterday. Had several lists for bigo PLO and oe going. Floor did go out of their way to try to get one started but unfortunately people on list were just not all there. I do give floor credit though for doing their best and just a nice group of friendly people imo were on staff last night.

Visited last 2 weekends after many months away and noticed an improvement in how my dealers were running the 2-5 NL game. Two examples are (1) as soon as a bet was called that created a side pot, the chips were split appropriately on the table and the correct numbers were announced to the table and (2) If An all in bet was called, the caller would be required to slide chips over the line before the the next action occurred.

These actions seemed to be the exception in the past but they happened often enough over the course of 12 hours worth of dealers over 2 sessions this month to make me believe continuing training is occurring.

Good work !
