My mistake, I don't recall the larger stack. Regardless I'll be back this year. Hopefully I get to 3 bet Hellmuth again, That was fun.

I played some solid all day and busted the last level of the night with 25 minutes to go with 21bbs when my AK ran smack dab into AA on a K83 flop.

They are over 100 so far in day 1a. Baby Dan won the 1k sit and go and is about to play in the televised cash game which is streaming here.

I'm hoping to play at Rivers either the 21st (Mon) or 22nd (Tues) of December.

I'll be in the area for some other stuff and I'm going to try to squeeze in a trip. Love to see new poker rooms.

Is it worth making the effort to fit into my itinerary? What's the room like? Any reason to prefer a Monday or Tuesday night? Any weird house rules I should know of? I've never played in PA before.

Thanks in advance for any insights. I think I play a little better when I have some idea of what I'm walking into.

Great room. The rivers is where you want to play. The 1/3 is great, although I haven't been there in a couple months, I've heard the 2/5 has gotten fairly tough. I'll likely be there those days as well!

Turning 21 in a few weeks. What is the 1/3 game like? Also what is the max buy in? Only live experience I have is playing up in Canada.

How many entries do they usually get for their Three Rivers tournament series? Thinking about driving out for the deep stack on Thursday but if they usually only get 30 people or something I won't bother. Not sure what to expect since there is no guarantee.

I never looked today but the board was at like 77 the last time I walked past on Monday for the $200.

I assume they'll have 50 or 60 minimum for the Thursday deep stack.

Unless it's fri. Sat your better off playing the 1/3 games than the 2/5 5/5 game. During the week it's going to be a tough game with a few pros a few rec players that know what their doing and maybe 1-2 bad players. Later in the night most 1/3 games play pretty big anyways

Thanks! Is the 1/3 PLO a 100 or 200 min and 500 max? And any general comments about how it plays, level of competition, etc.? Not asking for specifics on players or anything of that nature.

Thanks. I will be there Thurs-Sun. Does the 5/5 game play pretty big? Do most ppl buy in full? what's the standard raise size? etc..

Varies on the exact make up of course. But I've seen it range from 30 raises narrowing the field to 2-3 players or every hand being raised to 50 and repopped to 150 pre flop.
