Judging from your location in Pittsburgh, I wouldn't waste my time going up to PI. I've put in a decent number of hours at both casinos and can tell you that your literally missing nothing, besides the big BBJ.

you should go if you like a home game feel where you are the odd man out and everybody else is playing against you...

just the impression I have gotten the last few times I've been up there.

no, pretty much never.

However, on Fridays at 7 and Saturday's at 6 pm 2/5 tends to run. It always is the same 5-7 regs with one or two randoms walking in usually. Soft game, runs like a 1/3 tbh.

There's always atleast one $5 BJ table 24/7. Its right next to roulette. Obv day of the week dictates how many people are waiting behind it to jump in.

$5 craps game is almost 24/7. On Fri/Sat nights theres 3 crap games going, usually 2 of them are $10 and one being a $5. Sometimes they make all three $10 min though, but usually they leave one table $5 min.

5000 was on table in first couple of hours after opening

Rivers has a much bigger and more active room... Rivers also runs more tournaments and series. This room is smaller, has a smaller reg base, and a more random mix of people coming and going, compared to Rivers. Also doubt you ever see anything other than 1/2 get off the ground, maybe an occasional limit or 2/5.

Some of the softest poker I've ever played. I usually play at Seneca Falls or Casino Niagara.

Pros: soft field

Cons: pretty much everything else

Killed four hours playing there Monday night. Two tables until midnight (when the hourly high hand promo ended), then down to one. I bought in for 100bb (1/3NL) to make it 9 handed and I was either had the third or second biggest stack. Three had <40bb stacks.

Recently (4/1?), the royal flush promo got suspended until further notice. The table I was at needed to be repaired - the table mounted player tracker (Bravo?) had a raised corner that was waiting for some unsuspecting dealer to slice their finger on. Why we couldn't have played at any of the other 8 unoccupied tables is beyond me.

1.5 out of 5 stars and sadly at the bottom of the list of poker rooms I have played in.

Is this place closed for good?
