[QUOTE=AppState'03;18670671]As far as the dealer who got fired, I was told there was much more to it then just not asking for a RR.[/QUOTE

No, that is it. There was an investigation going on about the rake procedures, and a lot of dealers were called in to explain what exactly happens as far as raking the pots. If they admitted to taking a rr without a supervisor approval for any reason whatsoever, they got in major trouble. I know this dealer personally and she said that she was honest in her investigation. She told them that the only time she had ever taken less money for the house was not because she didn't call out to the supervisors for permission, but that after calling out so many times without a response, she felt that it was not fair to deny the customers customer service, when after all, that is part of the job as well, along with making the game move along, which is also part of her job. We all know that there is "gray areas" when it comes to the game, however, the house loses more money by slowing the progression of the game, as opposed to trusting that the dealers are responsible enough to rake the correct amount, based on the number of players.

i am sorry for the confussion..i was not implying that you are the poker room mananger,...i was simply responding to your post to make my post....i have no axe to grind....it is quite evident that not a single player likes what has happened to such a great run room...and all 45 staff members minus the 2 ass kissing floor all dislike the poker room manager....all will be fine when he is fired after his brilliant idea of a tournament gets a $0 prize pool....

Well if it isn't COD. 2000 miles away and still barking in the homeland. What's up buddy??

horshoe, hammond....management absolutely refuses to put betting lines on the tables, despite many complaints.

No, he isn't bald. Shorter with brown hair and walks around the room with the swagger of an arrogant d-bag.

Fast forward to August -

Out of town player: "How many people are in this tournament?"
Poker Room Manager: "Sir we have 250 people signed up."
Out of town player: "Wow, what's the prize pool?"
Poker Room Manager: "Well sir, it's at $0 right now but would be $500 with your entry."

What a joke of a tournament idea.

Haven't been there in a couple months. All the drama....
Anything good to say about the place lately?

Good things to say about the Pot?
It's still the best place to go play a few hands walk for 30-45 minutes, sit down, wait for your BB, play an orbit, walk for another half hour, THEN sit again, ask for a dinner break, come back, wait for your BB, play a couple of orbits, take yet another walk, return, then rack up. That place would save a fortune on comps if they had an electronic system to record when players are actually playing. Just saying.
On another note, I played the 3-6 Omaha Hi/Lo last night and the table actually voted for a full kill, once the last of the elderly regs (who steadfastly refuse to play kill pots) had gone home. But then, another guy suggests playing "over" buttons, to which floor, after some initial resistance, consents to the request to play a full kill WITH overs. Thus we had a few kill pot hands where the betting was upped to 12/24 (with one instance of a 4-bet on the river to $96, though both players held the same boat). New dealers perked up to see the action with one even commenting, "Full kill with overs? Sweet!"

I've been to the Saturday night buffet twice since May. They've gone back to bigger crablegs like they had 3 years ago. Definitely worth the $20.10 if you like crablegs.

awesome!!! It is the time of year where I become a reg. in this game. Only I hate the overs button thing. Either the whole table has to be down, (making it higher stakes anyway) or no one. I am not going to get involved in pots with only 1 guy at the table where the stakes are higher, but the rest of the players they are different. That is just stupid.

Well, 6 of the 10 players held "over" buttons until it was time for me to go. Not sure, how likely we'd be to see that again, but I want to try to get there early one day and try to start that game as one with kill pots.

I'd advise you to give them a call (414-847-7605) before you go, and they'll put you on a list up to 2 hours before you get there. On Saturdays, I've seen 1/2 NL (with a wait list so long, newcomers cry), 3/5 NL, 2/4 LHE, 3/6 LHE (with and without full kills), 3/6 Omaha Hi/Lo (rarely with a kill), and possibly 5/5 PLO ($500 min buy-in).

The Pot (or rather the players) is always good to me. I'll be there July 1-6 with the family on vacation. I played 3/5 exclusively last time I was there, but with the kill pots back in at the LHE tables, I might try that too. There is nothing better than smashing a hand with a 2-4 player out of their depths now in a 4-8 game. Although some regs at 3/5 are nutty spastic and can't seem to stop themselves from calling/chasing even against a super nit like me. There's lots of gamboool there.

Please let me know how the Keeper of the Fire tournament thingy is going. I read the tournament sheet in the poker room and it looked like a complete waste of time.

How has the PLO game been? Great if you like 5 or 6 players who soft play each other and are unwelcoming to out-of-towners...

I guess I shouldn't be shocked to hear that the regs attack what they see as fresh meat. Or did you mean they were downright rude to you for being from elsewhere?

I don't mind aggressive play. But these guys soft play each other even with the nuts. Why even play then?
