There was talk last night that when it got canceled a few years ago in Ohio it was due to the venue not having the right security cameras in their event room.

If that is the real reason that is still a bunch of bull****. Those kinds of details should have been ironed out long before WSOP agreed to hold the event here.

Poto got Bravo FFS would it be there hard to upgrade their security cameras in a week?

So stupid....

Interesting...last night the dealer said they were told a "final decision" would be made on Monday...not sure how you can publicly announce its cancelled then three days later...oh, its back on???

Thank you. Went with the fire pit and had the fish fry and was impressed. Hope you had a good grid session. Would be nice to get the opportunity to play in that room every weekend compared to GVC in Elgin or Horseshoe Hammond.

Well the original Poto cancellation tweet is deleted and now there's this -

"We anticipate a positive resolution for @paysbigpoker Circuit event. Will know definitively tomorrow and will update then."

Well you can't expect them to work and make an announcement in the morning can you? Heaven forbid they do that...

Does anyone know if they will match the level of another loyalty card when signing up for the first Firekeeper Card or whatever they call it?

For example, I know some places if you have a Total Rewards Diamond/7-Star or MLife Platinum/Noir, will give you the first card at the same level of their own brand.

AKAIK they won't. They did send out an offer last year that said they would match any casino offers from a 3-4 state area but that was a 1 time mailing good for a month.
Can't hurt to ask though.

Just got home from my few days at the Pot... played in events 4/6/7 in WSOPC, didn't cash in any of them Best run was in event 4, made it to about 30th place, maybe 11 or 1130pm Monday night. The guy who knocked me out went on to win the ring in that one too, so good to see my chips were put to good use. In event 6 (the six-max) I was knocked out early when I shoved AQ into AA... whoops. In event 7 (monster stack earlier today) I was card dead for 7 levels, never saw a hand better than K9... got down around 4000-5000 chips with blinds at 50/200/400, had a raise to 850 before me and I shoved with JJ... and the raiser has KK, game over there too. Oh well.

Pot was a cool place, had fun and made some good $ at the 2/5 game in the poker room, sounded like by the comments I heard that it was much more crowded and crazy in the poker room than usual with the WSOPC crowd hanging around. It was weird how some areas of the casino allowed smoking and some did not. I am glad the 3rd floor is on smoke lockdown but it seemed like I was walking thru smoke clouds as I made my way around the 1st floor checking out tables, restaurants, etc.

The new Italian restaurant up near the poker room, had decent food, but the service I had on Tuesday night was beyond terrible. It wasn't crowded, they had plenty of servers, and I have no idea what mine was doing. I made a comment to the manager, not with any attitude, just a "hey just so you know" and he told me I didn't have to eat there or come back if I didn't like what they did. OK then, I won't, "buddy".

The hotel room was nice, the people at the hotel were very nice (called to tell me I left stuff in the room after I left, most places would just ditch the stuff), etc. Service around the hotel was generally very good... check in was very easy and friendly, etc.

Thanks for the Q&A before I went out, hope to see you again next time.

There's a code during WSOP but not a normal poker rate.

Played over the first weekend. I thought it was very well run. The cash STT was welcome. The last WSOPC I played at Hammond was really terrible in feeder satellites...and seemed to be a lost opportunity for the casino to make a lot more money.

Hotel was fine...yes the Italian place seems full of itself. Walked up for a open table...kept my eye on one of the people at the desk as I approached expecting a warm smile and welcome...they just seemed to take pleasure in telling me that it was 1.5 hours wait.

The chinese food was good and service was fine. Restaurant in the lobby was also fine, good service. Hope they did well and this will be a yearly event.

Hope to drive in Saturday but have been 'winter weak' the last few days.

The hotel always has 'rates' for the MSPT and now WSOPc tournaments but you need to link into it through the poker tour site itself. I'm not sure if you need to show them a receipt from an event to prove that's why you are there. Lots of hotels in Vegas need proof that you entered an event to get the rate.

I think they are still fairly expensive even with the reduced rate but if you want to be on site then you need to go with it. From what I'm told they give away a tremendous amount of rooms and 'make up' for it with their rates to the rest of folks.

Was really hoping to drive in tonight, but I'll see how I feel Saturday morning. GL

Didn't make it ... but those that did make the trip from WMich ended up with some tournament cashes. At least 2 each in the ME and $580.

I would've put some cash down on the ME start Day 2 chip leader not cashing .. I just can't bring myself to play with that much 'reckless abandon' in a tournament.

Haven't seen any of the players who made the trip yet ... I will let you know if they have any other stories to report! GL

Pretty quiet board for the last couple months. $320+K in the BBJ and MSPT in a week. Surprised this is so quiet. Who is heading down next week?

No can do ... Spring Break in CA ... probably no poker either!! Missed my chance and now my weekends are booked pretty much through end of May ... with MSPT Battle Creek just before Memorial Day concluding that stretch.

My buddy over there has seen some 'run good' in his Limit play lately so that's good.

Hope all is well ... the boat starts up soon. Hopefully they will have a nice special running like they did a couple of years ago to fill the 'off' runs. GL

The MSPT stream still had the 'normal' issues last night but they were much improved and short lived so perhaps some equipment was added that is helping but still a little spotty for coverage. GL
