Everyone knows its high? I literally had no idea what it was, because it's not published anywhere.

I assumed searching MSPT website would have the information, I didn't realize math would be involved. Thanks for doing the math Brad, you are the real hero.

I searched MSPT website, and the release packet thing on Poto website and couldn't find it. At that point math was a better solution than continued searching.

Sorry you didn't know that sub $1100 tournaments have a high rake. They all do.

Bradley where did all the posts go about the player that made the final 12 at WSOP that got banned from Potawatomi for choking another player at Potawatomi in the poker room and his cousin? There was also stuff about his cousin. It's wierd that it would be taken down considering it's a poker forum and that it's relevant to the casino. Surely the mods didn't take it down since there is no justifiable reason to.

If all the posts were taking down by a mod I have real issue with that as this is all relevant to the room and poker in general. Pretty much if it's taken down then 2+2 is just censoring talks to fit their agenda.

There is no way those posts were spamming or trolling. It was fact based and the speculation of cheating is warranted. Besides I would want to know if I was sitting next to someone who may choke me if they lose a hand to me. Because the guy made it far in the main event does that give 2+2 the right to protect him

Guess my Iowa results results post got gobbled up as well ... Not sure if I've ever had a post deleted before ... How am I supposed to feel?

I did name a name and technically that's a violation. Time to tune up on my pronouns and non-racial adjectives. GL

I bought a beer for the one I called bumhunter earlier in the thread. The bonding power of live PLO. He told me he was banned multiple times for being loud and obnoxious. He did call us all nits even though we were frequently going 5+ to the flop. Apparently he's one of the most well known regs.. a patriarch of above average size or magnitude.

In the conversation leading up to it, I learned there is a Saturday happy hour in the hotel lobby bar from 3-7 or so. Can go for a walk and get better beer selection at a lower price.

2 rules that don't seem to make sense together

New player shows up to multiple games with open seats. He's not allowed to seat himself, but has to ask the floor which game to go to. The floor will put him on the game with fewer players, to avoid breaking the game that's shorter handed.

Existing player wants to table change from a table with 8 players to a table with 6 players. He's not allowed to until a player from the 6 player table leaves. This goes against the spirit of keeping all the games balanced and running from the first rule.

Either just a general incompetence/**** the players attitude, or they assume players want to move out of nitty games and want to keep the nits pushing small pots back and forth while they rake the **** out of it.

Surprised about the 8 to 6 not being allowed.

In fact, 7 and 7 would be two max rake tables compared to max and discount it is at 8-6. lol Poto.

I haven't been to a room that you just seat yourself so that doesn't seem off. I agree about table change but I did play at venitian a couple months ago and we were 8 handed and a guy got up and moved himself to a 6 player table and the floor made him come back because basically it was shortening our game for no specific reason. They did body for body transfers. I think if there is a two player gap and it leaves both tables with the sane amount it should be allowed.

1) A player should 'never' seat himself. There may be a table change list and you really should notify the floor of your presence. I always ask the floor if I have options or really do need to go to the table they are trying to send me to so I can get myself on a table change list if I want. Nothing wrong with letting the floor know they are 'needed' and appreciated.

2) A refusal to balance tables is crazy unless a room actually has a 'main' game(s) running and you are at a 'main' game table. Some rooms don't allow the main game to get below 2 players less than full and will actually break the 'must move' in order to maintain this 'requirement'. I've seen this policy plenty at 'very' busy rooms but not so much at smaller rooms. Generally in these rooms the floors to a very good job of explaining how things work before you sit down at a must move.

The issue here is that some room regs will throw a fit if the table gets short and in smaller markets this puts the floor in a tough spot. It can really take a lot of conviciton for the floor to let the players that 'they' run the room, not them. I've seen 'main/first' tables break when down to 7 in charity rooms a lot when the floor indicated they were going to balance the tables for the rest of the night. It really puts a dent into the rake when this happens .. it's a fine line to walk and I think casinos can take a harder line with players. GL

MSPT satellites are getting weak turn-out as well. I was there on Thurs and they had to cancel tourney because they had less than 8 people signed up before 6pm.

Pretty dumb imo though since about 5 people walked up at about 6:05pm and floor had already cancelled.

They really couldn't wait another 10mins for people to filter in? Traffic on 43/94 is super bad at 5pm and most certainly had an impact on attendance.

I'm hoping to go back tomorrow but this time I'm going to get on the 1/3NL list as well in case they have to cancel again.

Too many and too early. The tournament is still nearly 2 months away. Once it gets to be 2-3 weeks away these will have very high attendance.

I just noticed tonight is the first Wednesday satellite. Probably a very low turn out for it too as people are used to Tue and Thu schedule.

Is there a hotel poker room rate here? Rooms seem really expensive otherwise
