Poker in Nicaragua- Pharoahs and Granada Poker Club Poker in Nicaragua- Pharoahs and Granada Poker Club

I played at Granada Poker Club the other day and it was a nice change up from the games in Managua. I have played in the cordoba game in Managua at Pharoahs with an equivalent of .40-.80 blinds with a 50 dollar buy in, but the poker room in Granada, in my opinion, is much better. The games in Managua are pretty soft, but the dealers aren't great and the players usually buy in for the minimum.
The poker room in Granada offers one table with 1-2 blinds and an 80-300 dollar buyin. The majority of the players were American and European and the game was run in English. I made 200 bucks in about 5 hours just playing tight ABC Poker. They offer one type of free local beer, like in Pharoahs, but only a few people were drinking. The owner is American and said they had just opened about a month ago.
If you have any questions about poker in Nicaragua, let me know. I live in Managua, but will probably be traveling on the weekends to play in Granada.

I have only played at Pharoah's in Managua, but have heard they run a game at the Princess Casino next to the Holiday Inn. I was the only foreigner in the Managua game. The players were pretty friendly and seemed like regulars, although the play was pretty bad. If you are going to play live, go to Granada.

I haven't played online here, but a quick search shows it is legal. The only thing is getting bank account here is much more difficult than in Costa Rica. That might be why online players don't look to come here. I think if it was easier Nicaragua would be a hot spot for online poker. Cheaper than Costa Rica and baller houses on the beach that are affordable.

I'm headed to Nicaragua for a vacation in San Juan Del Sur at the end of May. I'm meeting a group down there but was considering going a week early to get some hours of poker in. The posts here were a few years old. Can anyone give me an update on poker in Nicaragua? I'm willing to travel to play.
