The last non-holdem tournament we ran was a HORSE event in March which drew 18 players. Obviously we get more play during the WSOPc, but generally we don't draw a ton of Omaha action. We have had a PLO8 game every day this week starting at about 1pm. But, to put it in perspective we had 33 for yesterday's "All-In or Fold" tournament with ~40 re-entries. If Omaha did that well we'd run more tournaments.

Yanksman2009, if you'd like to discuss the rake structure or if you have any insights you feel we might benefit from, pm me to set up a time when you can come in and talk.

Thanks,
TTJ

Why not try a POL8 at a reasonable time, such as 6;00pm

Well HORSE is not PLO8, you don't have a HORSE game going every day...

Yours is the only venue in South Florida that has a PLO8 game and seeing that you had 188 entries for the WSOPc (along with a waitlist of 37! on the PLO8 cash games that night), I figured it might be worth trying.

There were 4 other people in this thread who thought it would be a good idea as well but I understand if you don't think it is worthwhile.

Ah, didnt even realize you were the rep now for PBKC. Been waiting for Noah to reply lol

As long as you're confirming that, then that's fine with me. I was skeptical about it just hearing it from one random dealer which is why i wanted some clarifying.

I just wanted to make sure that the money i was paying in the cash game room was staying in the cash game room for the most part.

I hope you continue to glance at this thread to answer questions that arise about the KC.

My one suggestion though is to add another waitress, sometimes the wait for a drink is horrendous.

And a players club type rewards system

We don't plan the game, that's just when the players arrive and sign up to play.

Don't get me wrong. I love to play Omaha, and would love for our room to be known for it's Omaha games. We were very pleased with the turnout for the WSOPc. I'll get with Wil (our TD) to make sure we aren't leaving anything on the table wrt Omaha tournaments. We will update on here to keep everyone posted on the progress.

Thanks,
TTJ

NP. We really appreciate feedback from players, it gives us an opportunity to be better and better. Unfortunately there are months of inactivity itt sometimes and checking it drops a bit in priority. But have no fear! We do use and promote the use of twoplustwo.com as a resource for player relations (as well as a great forum for discussing all things Poker).

Thanks,
TTJ

I think he meant a PLO8 MTT scheduled for after work hours, it would be easier to get participants after 5 PM on weekdays

OIC, our evening events start at 6:30. I'll make sure that that preference is noted in any future scheduling plans.

Thanks,
TTJ

This. It was a daytime one that failed. Please don't choose Wednesday though, since Omaha players may be at the Creek for limit.

Any Omaha 8 tournament after five would be great. There are plenty of players in Palm
Beach that go south to play in tournaments.

The Summer Classic started on Aug 31st last year. I wasn't in on the planning (and probably shouldn't speculate) but I think it'll either be the last week of Aug or the first week of Sept. I'll verify that and post a concrete schedule soon.

Thanks,
TTJ

lol are you people serious?

How do you not realize that ALL of the rake you pay goes somewhere in the casino? How do you think they fund any promos or pay their light bill?

Now I eat crow. We may do the double-stack tournament in September, but there will be no Summer Classic this year at PBKC. Sorry for speculating about which I do not know.

Thanks; Sorry,

I guess they have decided to stick with cheap multiple re-entry NL tournaments and rewards for players who play them every single day. Guess I will see you guys in December, definitely February. It is a shame since it is so much closer to me than the other rooms.

Its been 2 months since this thread has had a hit..so sad.
For all you Omaha 8 players they have been getting a 2/5 PLO8 game pretty much everyday with a 200-500 buyin

Thank you for mentioning the game! As a room rep if I were to come on here and promote games the mods would correct and/or infract me for "spamming." We rely on players at PBKC who use 2+2 to communicate the our features and new games. That said, I make it a habit to check this thread at least 4 times a week.

Thanks again,
TTJ

We feature a game called "Tree Card Poker" that plays similar to regular 3-card poker. Stop in and jump on the list, the game stays busy.

Thanks,
