Does anybody know how popular the poker room is in July? Are the tables tougher/are the same amounts of tournaments run?

I am not going to say anything bad that I have noticed because I think it would be pointless negativity. I would like to ask, if the PBKC club people even bother to read this thread, Can we please phone in for the list? Most decent poker rooms allow this, even the huge ones like Venetian in Las Vegas. No comps is fine but can you give us this small courtesy? Thank you

Hey guys, have a question about sng's at the pbkc.

How often do they run and at what buy in are they usually? I'm referring to just like 1 or 2 table sng's. Is it just pretty much like if there's a bunch of guys that want to get one going then they'll have one or do they regularly have them (weekends/days/nights?)? Maybe they don't have them at all?

thanks for any input to this.

They never happen. They basically are not popular at all and no one wants to do them.

There are so many games going, that you really never have to wait, so there is no point in having to call in for the list.

We generally keep the same tournament schedule and participation throughout most of the year. Also, we generally keep the same amount of local players throughout the year as well. Hope that helps...

Thanks,
TTJ

We actually allowed call-ins for some time. I don't know whether it is that there are so many great things to do in Palm Beach County or what, but very often we'd end up with piles of names on lists for games who just never showed up. Our staff responds very quickly to seating and opening new games. We always say that we're not doing our jobs if people are stuck in the waiting area. I hope this helps...

Thanks,
TTJ

It would be nice if PBKC required that a player's first buy-in be at the cage. Soooooo many players get their first chips at the table when no one is at the cage. It's even more frustrating when it happens at a table right next to the cage. This issue is compounded by the resulting frequent fills.

Ive seen like 6 or 7 fills during 1 dealer avg is like 1 to 3

Why did they have no amaha tournaments this year?
They had several last year.

TTJ, awesome that you are participating in the forums! Love management that is into transparency and hearing from their players.

One constructive feedback....I and a lot of other O8 players are SO disappointed you haven't been having 08 events in your series. 2011 Circuit event had over 190 players! This year, nothing. And your next event in may, nothing. We really would love this - and it drags us out to play your cash tables and other tourney events (like a holdem event). Would really love having this back and we have proved good attendence.

Agreed 10000000%. Either that or let the dealers have more money in the bank

I recall recently playing at a 2/5 near the cage when a player sat down during a hand. The next hand would have made his seat the button, so he sat out that hand, too. Despite that, the dealer obliged the player by fulfilling the buy-in. Of course, no one was at the cage, and the game was needlessly slowed down. All that the dealer had to do was tell the player to walk five feet to the cage. It's not as though the player would have missed a hand anyway.

I'm sure this happens all the time. It doesn't need to.

Noah and TTJ, could the PBKC do what the Isle and many other rooms do and require that the first buy-in take place at the cage? If for no other reason, you'll get in more hands (fewer buy-in exchanges and fewer fills) and, therefore, you'll tally more drops. It's a win-win.

Not that you are a rep, so I don't see why you responded here.

Not all games are constantly going. If an Omaha list is long, you should be able to put your name down when you are on your way in. Or, if the game is about to break, and you put your name down, the players may continue playing if they know someone is on the way.

no, it does not help as mentioned in my previous response. perhaps just allow them for omaha? and to say your staff responds quickly to anything, especially the list is a lie.
