I had fun. I didn't cash in a single tourney (0 for 8), but the structures were great and everything felt very well organized and comfortable. No way the WSOP doesn't come back next year.

Yea its great you had Fun, but that does not mean they got the numbers they wanted. I would agree the WSOP has the best structure right now for the low buy ins.

Maybe because they started the Re-entry at this stop, You guys prolly made Jimmy, Tourney director a lot of money, I bet he will be back next year.

Joe, turned the place into a really great room, and he even had a special area built for the final tables.....very classy....and I don't think there is ANY question that the WSOP will be held here again.

The 5/10 game has dried up really sad to see. Game use to get going everyday at 10am. This week has been horrible didn't get started till 6pm the other day. Looks like they are most likely changing the buy in back to 500-2500 to entice 2/5 players to play. Really loved the 1k-5k buy in. Guess having short stacks at the table is better than no table at all. Looks like it's time to see what the isle is all about.

What are some cheap but clean hotels near the area?

The Isles is very accomodating....give it a shot.

This is the height of the season for the snowbirds, and for the PBKC not to have solid higher stakes action should tell you where thier (mgmts) heads are. Imagine what it will be like in a month!!!!

unlike others around here, i don't play poker for a living.....so I don't really care one way or another at this point.....If the Isles has the game i want, then thats where i will go.

I know it sounds ludicrous, but i really do enjoy the PBKC and have made some very good poker pals there.....but they don't pay me to run the games.....so all i can do is hope they get thier heads out of the sand.

They are everywhere but the crowne plaza right up the road on belvedere is the nicest for the money.......where are you coming from?

During the WSOPc we used the Marriot, the Double Tree and the Crown Plaza... For each place we received positive feedback from the players. Crown Plaza is the closest, followed by DoubleTree then Marriot. Let me know if you'd like contact information. The Marriot was least expensive @ $80 or so a night. Not sure about promo's as they were only for the event, but we're coming out of the "season" in South Florida so the rates will likely be reasonable.

To those of you touting the isle 5/10 game I really do not see why. It is a 500-1500 game riddled short stackers who min buy, donate a nickel or hit and run. That is fine but 1k min would be so much better.The game is ok. If only the short stack muppets would buy in full instead of massaging their finger length stack of green chips.

The Palm Beach Game is way better. Effective stacks super juicy and the mistakes and leaks I see there are much more abundant and more costly at 3-500 bb's deep. Winrate potential much higher at pbkc

They don't actually leave. It used to be people could afford having two homes but after everything went to shot they had to make a decision to sell one of their houses. Where would you rather live?

The win rate at PBKC IS good however, the Isles will put any game into place as per Mike Smith......as he has for regulars, 1k and up buy ins.....PBKC is deciding to go back to the 500 min buy in, with no call ahead reservations.....so the game has dried up for the most part.....yes they still get a game, but it could take forever to begin....I hope they change.

BTW, the snow birds leave around Easter or just before the heat rolls in.....contrary to what someone else said....snowbirds make up 30% of homeowners in Palm beach County....per Anne Gannon, County Tax collector......its been the same for 20 years.
