Got another lead on a pool hall. It's called Golden Q Billiards, 4340 Forest Hill Boulevard (behind Wachovia Bank). Or you can see me for more details when you get here.

Thanks, JA

Wednesday is listed as a "sng satellite day". Obviously I know these are running as much as possible already, but have you been running any single tables higher than the $120 that awards 2 $500 tokens? Perhaps a $320 that awards 2 $1500s, etc

Will you guys run 6max satellites? These are also popular and are obviously easier to get off than 10 player ones. $120 6max that gives 2 $300s, $225 that pays $500/$500/$200, $530 6max that pays 2 $1500s, etc etc

I'll probably be up there trying to play all of these. What can I expect?

Excellent questions Mike! I'd like to know the answers to these questions too (today preferably), in which case I'll probably start coming up tomorrow instead of waiting until Wed..

And can you list here how the payouts are for these SNGs, i.e - buyin breakdown (entry & house fee), how many winners paid, tokens, cash & etc.? Also, will you have HORSE & Om8 SNGs that pay the buyins for the ring events of HORSE & Om8?

TIA,
Teddy

Rant time: I play everyday at the higher limit cash games, everday the rules change.....lets go over the list:

1) they built a rail around the room so people can see right in to watch (and maybe even play) in the high stakes area....some days a floor person tells the people they cant watch, other days nobody says anything.....if they didnt want anyone there watching (which happens to bring more players IN), then they should have built a room with a wall......management screwed this up of course, now they sound like idiots every 5 minutes.

2) All of a sudden there is no flop no drop in the high stakes area, after 6 months of complaining.....could it be that they don't want to give the wrong impression to the WSOP people coming in now????? wonder if THAT rule will stick, it hasnt in the past and managers give mixed signals to players and dealers all day, all night, all the time, about the rake rules (worst in the area).

3) Noah keeps saying how the high stakes area is "for the players who are putting up the thousands to play, and they are player friendly".......Nonesense, they are PBKC friendly and the rules change from minute to minute......first, if all the players at the table want to play 10 handed, then fine we do it.....then some pee-on manager makes a rule that "NOPE" can't, not allowed.......the pee-on knows how to put on shoes maybe, but thats about it.....running a poker room is so far out of his league he should go back to McDonalds.

4) Now they have changed "call in" rules......the high stakes players could call in at 9am and reserve a spot at the main table, overflow would go to a feeder table to keep the main table filled.......good deal, player friendly.....right? Well, now its no longer being accepted unless Willie sets it up, and he is not there all the time, so how will that work? It won't, and the regulars just won't sit around and wait when there are other options, and will be more in the future. Maybe after the luster of the WSOP wears off, they will change back, maybe not.

5) Nobody tells anyone anything regarding what the rules of the moment are, so naturally arguments ensue, and players get pissed off, as do the managers, who don't have a clue to the rules to begin with.

Obviously, today i had had it, when a pee-on manager made a dumb ass rule about 10 people at the table when everyone at the table agreed it was ok with us....he wouldnt change his mind, and i went full tilt.....player friendly????????? The pee-on manager arbitrarily made a rule that caused friction in the game......ya think the regulars want to play there much longer?????? PBKC is biting the hands that feed them, and will wind up lesser of a poker room than before.

Today they "asked me to leave"....I obliged and will consider going back when it suits me, not them......I will close my safety deposit box, use a "friendly" bank, and play where the playing suits me.....i have the luxury of being in between the Isles and the PBKC......maybe I will just use the KC for the good tournies, and bring the real money elsewhere, unless I see some fish swimming around, then maybe I will toss them some business, but the 30k (Rake, Parking, Food) a year I toss them a year is OVER......too bad also, I like Joe the tournament director, he's a good guy and knows what to do.

Will they care, probably not.....but this is a critical week for them......and the action has been sparse......Commerce, they aint!

Sorry to cause a rucus today (which i told Josh), but they brought it on themselves, as usual.

TypicalNobody

PS: 2 weeks ago they told me to remove the racks from the table......the others players aside from one, didnt give a crap, and the dealer (whos call it is) said it didnt interfere with anything......Did I remove the racks? Yep, with my chips, and me, and boy did that piss off the other players who wanted a shot at getting some money back.....sorry, blame on that pee-on manager (same one BTW) who overode his dealer.

Some of the high limit players do not like spectators. We listen to their concerns and make the adjustments when need be.

This rule will stick. The players have asked and the adjustment was made.

We play 9 handed at PBKC. We did not go to ten today because there was a list for a second game of 5 deep. This decision was in the best interest of the players.
4) Now they have changed "call in" rules......the high stakes players could call in at 9am and reserve a spot at the main table, overflow would go to a feeder table to keep the main table filled.......good deal, player friendly.....right? Maybe after the luster of the WSOP wears off, they will change back, maybe not.

The call in reservations were abused. We have changed this so players who show up can play without waiting for a call in to show at a later time.5) Nobody tells anyone anything regarding what the rules of the moment are, so naturally arguments ensue, and players get pissed off, as do the managers, who don't have a clue to the rules to begin with.

Typical Nobody,

If you feel that you are entitled to call the members of the staff offensive names, as you did today, then we do encourage you to find another facility to play.

If you acted like you did today at the local Wal-Mart, you would be in jail right now.

Take care,

Noah

Typical Nobody was wayyyy, and I mean wayyyy outta line today. It is apparent through his actions at the card room today, and with his rant here that he should perhaps go online and open up a .01/.02 no limit table and dead shove all in repeatedly until he can control his emotions. Their is no room for the type of behavior he displayed today in a card room or any public place for that matter.

Noah, that is complete nonesense, you are well aware of the changing rules and you have even used seasoned professionals to help you get approriate SOP straight.....yet your answers obviously reflect an I dont care attitude, and as i said before....when it suits me, i will play, otherwise you might see an exodus of regulars that you didnt plan on.

"Take care"

The "jail" comment was as dumb as your rules. You even have rent a cops who abuse players and you know it!

You need to abide by the rule for angry emails/letters/voicemails that apply to breakups firings and such of not sending them the same day the event in question happens. Even if you were right to begin with it always turns you into the person in the wrong.

Please make sure the chips increase with the larger buyins. $5 dealer addon for 6max sngs still goes a long way and stacks should increase by t500 per buyin level.

$70 - t1500 after addon
$120 - t2000
$225 - t2500
$330 - t3000

It's pretty difficult to justify taking a larger rake on a sng if the time would be the same as a smaller one. For example: if you wanted to run the $120 as a t1500, the same as the $70 ($60+10), then you should change it to a $100+10.

Not sure what you offer for blind levels but I can't imagine people would be unhappy with 10-12 mins for the $70, 12-15 mins for the 120, 15 mins for anything above that.

It is right of okeechobee. I just moved here but I think you found a good spot. City Place should be half way between you proposed condo and the poker room.

Cool, the riff raff will all be playing at the Isles until the PBKC understands who the patrons are.......watch the high stakes area diminish....especially after the world series circuit events, which i will be playing in......Oh and even the PBKC dealers who know whats what, KNOW I am right, and have told me so..... Today, I took out my stuff from the saftey deposit box, transferred it and until the management learns how to run a poker room instead of a dog track....I wont be playing cash games there...i will USE the place for the good tournies however......Only because of MOJO....the action gets better everywhere, so if you, and the PBKC want to keep your heads in the sand.....go for it.

HUGE turnout at the Isles today BTW, both the tournament AND 5 tables of hi-limit cash. Lots of PBKC players there now also.

Enjoy your $1500 max buy in and a table full of min-buying deigns, it should help limit your losses. I would much rather have a $5k max any day of the week.

wrong again, Mike Smith will put any game we want, together, within reason, allow us to call in with a time and a table, and raising the limit, by invitation only, and the players whom I care about already are on board.... SOOOO, already asked, already being worked on, did i mention the players card, rake backs, and free parking?????lol......have fun at the zoo......with NO players.....guess who it was that started the 1k-5k at the pbkc genius, ME along with Willie the host ( a really good guy by the way)?.....without the regulars, my guess is that they will go right back to the 500/2500 structure....but thats just a guess.

Actually we all hope PBKC changes their approach and becomes committed to making consistant RATIONAL decisions and communicates them to their employees......ya neva know, we might all be back!

I would like to sincerely THANK Noah for reaching out to me just a few minutes ago, with a call....to address both of our concerns....I believe we had a good dialogue, and he understands the players concerns, and I understand his concerns....together, all of the regulars should be able to work it out so that a positive experience can be had in our favorite home away from home, the PBKC.

I intend on conveying my conversation with the rest of the players to let them know that I believe things will be better.

Now all I need to do, is win one of the WSOP tournies, and I will be a happy camper!!! LOL

Still,
