I played a ton pre UIEGA, but now mainly just live cash and tourneys where first place is at least 40 times my buy in with a minimum 30 minute blinds and minimum buy in of $200.

20-25 tables upstairs, and another 20 downstairs sounds right since they will be coming from all over.

Biloxi is tough to get to, Palm Beach is a snap.

PS: The hi-stakes "pit" has become 1000% better in recent months.....I have been on hiatus, but will be back soon.

When you consider everything, it makes sense for the WSOP to be at the PBKC.....best tournament director, accross the street from the airport, plenty of tables with plenty of TVs, and they wont make a mistake with which "clock" to use! (LOL)

New chips, better dealers for the tourneys, and this could be THE place to play POKER.

Is there a location set yet for the new room? I would have to assume that is the reason PBKC was able to make a deal with the WSOP CE. Also with the season coming and the Isle dropped the ball by not expanding their room, the need for more table in the N Broward and Palm Beach area is necessary.

Ive read so many complaints about it and it hasnt changed? 2 dollar rake with no flop? come on. I then went to the Isle and that place is amazing. Ill probably be going there on holiday breaks from school from now on until you guys make the dogtrack better. You could learn a lot from what they do.
Thats truly ridiculous and greedy. House takes blinds if no drop lol really?

the house wants to make all they can as that is business. too often all they can soon runs off their core players as they can no longer survive. and then the action moves to another room.
once the rake is taken too early in the hand few smaller stakes games can be beaten if the game tighten ups at all. so what begins to happen is that players learn that as soon as it gets tighter like when blinds starts being the only two players in the hand they walk, or quit and go to the competing room.

Why does everyone think this is the only place that drops with no flop, this is not unheard of in the poker industry. And any good solid grinder with a decent winrate can definitly counteract this with how soft the room is. If you want to play somewhere where your winrate is half of what it could be just to save on a bottle of water and no flop drop, then by all means.

I am not sure what you think their "core" players are? I can guarantee that a majority of those players are regulars and the no flop drop rule is just an aggravation and not a deal breaker. Also you mentioned that they will dry up. Thats also unlikely as most of the patrons are losers and have always been losers but they continue to play cause they enjoy it and they obv have another income to replenish their poker money. That right there is plenty of reason to get over the no flop drop crap and win more money.

I live in Tunica and there is one casino that does not have no flop no drop and it is the deadest room in town despite offering the best comps. Some people just get tired of casino greed.

i mean really, (i may agree with everyone in the fact that i like games with no drop) but who is really being the greedy one, The casino wanting to keep its doors open, or the grinder who always bitxhes about paying rake, how much drinks are, and whether they should tip the dealer 1 dollar 2 dollars or nothing at all.

Your paying for a service and if you want to sacrifice the softest games "I" have ever seen for a free bottle of water, then I guess thats your perogative.

I guess you think a casino paying 6/5 instead of 3/2 on blackjack is fine too. In Tunica we have 9 casinos you can choose to play at the one who treats the customer best. Casinos make money with no flop no drop and giving free drinks all casinos would make money too but some just want to make more.

whatever, your obv 1 minded and thats an endless road. Stay in tunica if you cannot see a point.

Meh, cannot compare these two Tex as one is a house banked game with the player competing against the house while the other is a game where the casino charges a fixed cost to the players competing against other players.
I see where you are going with your point though.

In Tunica you have full blown casiinos with hotels. Poker rooms can and do often receive subsidies from other departments in this environment. In Florida, only Chief Wahoo and The Seminole Nation are afforded that opportunity. You have to remember these dog and horse tracks without slot machines have hardly any wiggle room regarding subsidies from other departments. Some tracks have to dedicate a portion of their poker rake or slot rake to subsidies dog/horse racing purses They have very limited marketing dollars, advertising dollars, etc compared to the huge corporations in the US like The Seminoles.

Until Florida really has a true free market and opens its doors to full class III expansion to everyone, the gaming arena will be skewed, favoring Max Osceola Jr., James Allen, and the Seminoles. But considering all the competitive advantages they have, I really enjoy the fact that places like PBKC, Isle, are kicking Hollywood's butt by providing a better customer experience and better service in the poker arena.

Im sure this room can make enough of a profit on rake by instituting a no flop no drop policy. Charging for water and drinks also goes back to the greed factor. I am coming to west palm this month was going to drop by but too turned off. I will stick to foxwoods, borgatta etc where there is no flop no drop as well as free drinks. Not too many competing poker rooms in West Palm so its patrons are basically a captive audiance.

I would think a poker room would want to create good will and expand player base with new laws in Florida in place and not keep away prospective players soley for own greed and stinginess. Foxwoods and Borgatta do a booming buisness even though there is a recession. They do it by attracting players not nickel and diming them to death. Hopefully Kennel room will see the light some day.

Our games are more profitable than any games of the rooms you have mentioned, regardless of our rake schedule.

Please stop in and take a look.

take care,

Noah

We are a long way from tight games at our facility. Please trust me on that.

Stop in and see for yourself sometime. I will buy lunch.
