Just curious, why is this?

I played here for the first time this past weekend, and the 1/2/2 action was some of the best I've seen in s fl.

Did I just have a good table?

I just don't like 2/1/2. I am a very calculated player who never straddles (and thinks straddling is the stupidest thing in poker) and values every dollar I have and make. Paying 5 dollars per orbit to play 1/2 is ridiculous AND a scam imo

I don't mind the button blind. It is something you have to adjust for but really isn't a hardship. Good luck with 2/5 if you can't figure out how to play with a button blind at 1/2. Every time I play 2/5 at PBKC the button straddles 75% of the time with the SB first to act. You will really hate that.

It is a major hardship on the already ridiculous rake @ the 1/2 level. I actually dabble in 2/5 from time to time when I've had a good day so your condescending remarks affect me none. A button straddle with action starting in the small blind is TOTALLY different from a mandatory button price to just play poker. PBKC is merely lucky no other cardrooms are around to compete in their area. And yes, I fold 90% of the time when someone straddles the button. There is a big difference in having a choice and doing something mandatory.

Out of curiosity, does PBKC (or any other south FL room) use prop players or similar?

When will the WSOP Circuit schedule be up? The two events after this one already have their schedules posted.

Hi tgrshark13a,

We have not finalized the event just yet. We'll be sure to link the details as soon as they become available.

Thanks,
TTJ

I would love for this event to have a limit 08 event to go along with HORSE.

There are a couple of mentions of food from 2010, so at the risk of asking an item often covered in this thread, how is the food inside the facility?

Quick and casual is fine but warmed up Aramark food is not my style.

Is there a place nearby I should check out before stopping in?

The bar across the street has a Jamaican food truck outside that I thought was very good. Inside is a lot better than warmed Aramark. Good hot dogs, and I am told the salads and breakfast sandwiches are good. The pizza didn't look great, but otherwise an OK menu.

Been a while since I have been, but the last time I got a salad from PBKC it could've fed the whole table, however it was good enough to keep all to myself.

For anyone thinking about playing @ PKBC, please read my thread here first about how I was robbed and then permanently banned from the room as a result:

Does anyone know what promotions they will be having for high hands next weekend? Can't seem to find them anywhere on the site.

If you're asking you can't afford it.

If you chop the blinds at 2-5, they rake $1 ea from SB and BB.
