True. BUT, while they are waiting an hour or more for 1/2, they may put their names on the Omaha list since it's usually shorter. And since most DONKS can barely play hold'em, it could be a goldmine for a good Omaha player!

Overall I think the room has alot of potential. My session mostly fell bad when my a2<44 on a 242 flop...

One tip I could give was to wait till noon during the weeks since that's when the larger dealer shift starts...

The room was pretty slow last night, I arrived around 11:30 and seen about 3 or 4 empty tables. Tables kept getting short and breaking throughout the night. The 2/5 game broke around 3:30am and by 4:30am when I left there were only two 1/2 games going.

I don't know if anyone from Mount Airy lurks in this thread at all but if you do. Sands is now open and will take a lot of your players if you don't start getting the basics together. For example, get the comp system working it's been a week already. Everyone on the floor says you get two points an hour but they don't know what a point equals and there is no way to check your status anywhere your comps don't show up on slots, kiosks and the poker room can't even check it from their PC I was told. So basically right now they're useless as if your getting nothing and can't use anything.

Mt. Airy has the lowest gross revenue in slots of the NE PA casinos. It seems this lack of business will affect their table games and poker room, as well.

More than once I've been in Mt. Airy and it was really quiet, then headed down to the Sands and found it to still be pretty busy, this around 11pm and later.

I'm surprised Mt Airy is so dead. It's in one of the biggest tourist destinations on the East Coast. Besides the Jersey Shore.

It really hasn't been dead at all since the table games came in. They've been getting busloads of people at all times of day. My only concern is the poker room though, it seems low on the priority list for upper management.

Although I give them credit for now keeping the poker cage open what appears to be 24/7 after the fiasco last week with that.

I think it's going to be a weekend/holiday type place to play, mostly dead during the week. Unless something changes.

Eh, they seem to be an entirely confused property. When they opened initially they looked like a "players" place to play with good VP schedules and the like. That was a great idea to get people there. They're not using their other tourist amenities to their advantage as well as they could (IMO).

All the VP has since been downgraded, marketing is sub-par and the poker room, well, we've discussed those problems. They're pushing for the bus crowd...even Harrahs and Taj in AC learned to go after a younger demo. They'll do OK on the weekends, but otherwise I think they'll keep the lights on and nothing more.

This ownership usually makes everything it touches turn to gold, but if I were able to short this property long-term, I would. They need some upper-management shake-ups.

I was playing with someone at PD today that said he went to went over the weekend. They played a round of Golf $28 and received free $20 slot play. I mean yeah it's slot play but it's still a decent promotion for those how like to golf.

Agreed the 9/5 vp to 7/5 vp was a horrible move

Ill be there around 10 tonight. Last night was better than Monday there were about 6 1/2 tables a couple 2/4 tables and 1 2/5 tables with about an 15 person wait for 1/2 and 8 for 2/5 around 10pm. There were maybe 3 empty tables because they were short staffed but the lists moved very quickly so it wasnt an issue. I left around 3:30am still 3 1/2 games going 1 2/5 game and 1 2/4 game.

Hey Mike,

I'll be there tonight around 10PM too. Early 40's, Blue collared shirt and a maroon Springsteen baseball cap. Throw me a "sup bro" when you see me.

Mike, Have they been getting anything off the ground except for 1/2 and a couple of low limit limit games?

How many 2/5 NL and up games are going?

They had 2 2-5NL games going when I got there around 10. One broke by 10:30. I played 1-2 because the games I've been in have been pretty soft. Lots of really passive play or people spewing chips.

I left after 3 hands tonight didn't get to meet ya, horrible night lol. 3rd hand in I see KK, CO raises to $19 I reraise to $45 from the SB everyone folds to CO and he thinks awhile and declares a raise and picks up $100 stack and starts to count out a min raise as dealer tells him that stack in his hand has to go in its over the line. He was angry at the dealer so I ruled out AA and went all in and he reluctantly called and said you got me beat KK or AA right and flips QQ. Flop comes QQJ turn is blank and I'm bust and call it a night.

Had he not made the line mistake I think he could have folded. Some dealers strictly enforce the line and others don't, this rule should be set in stone so situations like this don't ever arise. Most people would feel like an ******* calling this rule out on someone had a dealer not said anything. I'll be back tomorrow though

Tough break. Yeah I've seen guys check with a stack of chips in their hand over the line. It would be good if they were consistent with it just to avoid any angle shooting. You should be happy he had to put all those chips in, though. What can you do, he flopped quads.

Oh I was happy for sure until I seen the flop

Hard to believe that the thieves have started already. See link to some guy passing bad chips at Mount Airy.

Yeah from what I heard this clown went back a couple of times and they were on the lookout for him. I guess it would be the best time to try to pass counterfeits though, when new chips are introduced and you have a bunch of newbie staff people handling the chips.

They should bring back the "Beautiful Mount Airy Lodge" commercials from the 80's.

Also,

How the **** is it the casino's fault if your cell provider doesn't have service in the area?

Great!!! This guy is from my town. Just another example of the "goomba wannabies" that live here. It's really an embarrassment to people of Italian descent...which I am one of.

Passing fakes at Mr. Denaples' place is probably not the smartest move this guy has ever made.
