How busy is MCC on fri-sat?????? I am thinking of making a trip down there in the next week or so, plus my brother lives in livonia so i have a place to stay at also....

mainly looking to play 1/2 or 2/5...... what is the max buy-in for both??

Packed on Friday and Saturday. If you show up at like 8pm you might have to wait a while to sit.

1/2 is $50-$200
2/5 is $200-$500

Is the 2/5 game at MCC worth going to for an out of towner on Wed night?

I define good game as low ratio of bumhunting nits waiting around all night for the nuts.

Its been almost a year or so since I've been down to MCC. I don't think its too common, but "cousins/brothers" used to softplay each other all the time. Very little was ever done when brought up. Easy to get a table change.

What are the odds that we could ever get the 5-10 O8 game to move back. I'd prefer 10-20, maybe 10-20 RxR with Omaha/O8. I think Greektown has a nicer room, but its just run terribly. I stopped showing up the past few months because of it. I see the listings for O8 games out of state on the Bravo app that run weekly and I weep.

I'd say unlikely but you never know. The problem is they only have 12 tables so you'd be competing with the other non-nlhe games they run. They have a lhe/omaha rxr game that runs three times a week, tue/wed/sat and I think thursday too. 5-10 PLO runs mon/thus/sat. These games often run with a must-move. Then you have the nlhe tables. Generally one or two 5-10 and three or four 2-5 games daily plus the four to six 1-2 games that are always running.

Definitely more likely to get a 10-20 or 15-30 O8 game going. 5-10 very unlikely imo.

Any chance a PLO game or an NL game bigger than 2-5 will be running around 6 pm today? Driving through town and have a couple hours to kill. Also, is 2-5 cap still 500? What's the 5-10 cap?

What would be the average wait time on a wed/thurs evening around 7-8 o'clock? 1/2 or 2/5. And would you all recommend it over MGM? Will be there this week and wanting to get some games in but will have work related things in the mornings so don't really wanna show up at 8 and wait till 10 to get seated.

Call ahead and put your self on the list. You have one hour ish to show up. By that time you should be at top or close to it unless it's a weekend

I've been seeing 60ish min wait times, even on weeknights, for 2/5. The 1/2 game moves a little quicker since they have more tables running.

This was asked over a month ago, but I thought I'd answer. 2-5 PLO (200-500 buy in) goes every day of the week, often late into the evening. The 5-10 PLO (300-2000) goes Monday and Thursday and the 5-10 PLO game (500-3000) runs on Saturday.

As for it going at night, the 5-10 can be hit or miss. Lately they've had a few days where the game broke in the late afternoon and started up again later in the evening.

With the quads over quads bad beat over $300,000 now there are a number of regular PLO players playing more Hold 'Em on a regular basis instead of playing PLO.

I saw a $4200 pot awarded to 10-high (which was the calling hand after an all-in shove) there, and similar happen to a pot about half as big another time.

It's a little crazy.

Where has this thread been? Back from the dead ... Usually read the "Detroit" regional thread.

From what I have seen, anytime a 5/10 game breaks out at MCC it is the 'gamblers' in the room and action is very crazy and the table loses 'pace' pretty quickly as BIs are depleted quicker than normal. Once things get settled down a bit, then a poker game breaks out with the survivors.

I saw a $15K 5/10 PLO hand won by A455 (unsuited) ... in a 3-way all-in PF raising war. He hit a wheel on the River while avoiding 2 different flush draws!!

Still very hit or miss during the week (see above) and usually gets going on weekends. The issue is for how long it will last.

If you can find your way to (one of) the 2/5 main table(s) they will be pretty deep and can play like 5/10 on the weekends. Not so much during the week as I don't think the players put in the longer sessions during the week. GL
