I think the Bad Beat Jackpot is above 500k. So the tables should be packed, although mostly filled with people chasing the beat.

Any info on MGM? I couldn't find a thread on it

I don't think there's a thread on MGM-Detroit specifically. Most hang out in the 'Detroit' thread.

During the last period of 'high' BBJ the 1-2 games were pretty ugly with a bunch of 'even' shorter stacks than normal. (BI of $50-200) I think there is plenty of opportunity there but you will need to be more aware of set miners and similar 'trap' holdings from opponents. The 2-5 game didn't seem to suffer as much .. and even picked up some PLO regs who were trolling the BBJ. The 2-5 also picked up players looking for 1-2 but sat at 2-5 since the list was shorter (yum yum).

There's no room share, or even a high hand like some other casinos, so the draw to the BBJ is less appealing to me but still 'high' none the less. Even with long wait lists MCC moves along fairly fast since some players don't have more than one BI with them.

MGM has done well since it moved it's poker room to a more visual location. I think they still have their biggest draw from afternoon to evening whereas MCC is a 24 hour location for pretty much all stakes/games. MGM used to shut down but is now 24 hour.

Like I said ... on this forum hang out in the Detroit thread, but there is a lot of charity chatter over there as well. GL

Thanks for the info answer20, greatly appreciated. My flight arrives tonight at 9. I'll probably check out MCC tonight amd if I get bored tomorrow afternoon, go check out MGM for the afternoon.

Will be in town until Thursday. Does Caesar's Windsor have a room, any info on it?

Do you have the Bravo App? MGM and Windsor (as well as Greektown) all show up with poker room information and current 'situation' (open tables/wait list). I'm no information expert, but I would think that Windsor would be limited during the week. I'm assuming you can cross the border no problem?

MCC has a 'system' but you need to have one of their player cards already to log into it. At 10-1100 PM there will be 'lots' of tables running at MCC and perhaps 3-5 at MGM. Feel free to call MCC's room direct at 313-237-6735 to get put on the list before you arrive, but I can't imagine the lists being too long at that time of night. GL

Yes I have Bravo. So I can get on the list even though I don't have a player's card via call in?

Yes .. There are very few casinos that don't take call-ins. You generally have 1 hour to get there before they drop you off the list. Sometimes MCC will have trouble even if you do call in if they don't pay attention that you haven't checked in yet. GL
