2 table transfers tonight and a session from 9 PM to 2 AM yielded a cashout of $1100 on the spot from 1/2. A lot of taking down good-sized pots before showdown and value-betting situations that yielded solid gains. No kings, no queens, but I did see rockets once...won me around $40.

Did u play 2/5 on a tuesday during the NAPT, late at night, u had a shaved head and blue tinted sunglasses and we had this ongoing joke about metagame and people were not using the term correctly, hahah, I had a big stack that night, and we were across the table from each other.

I've only played at the WPT room in FW, I like it there but i'm a big gujy and some of the seating is REALLY cramped is MS any better?

I also wasn't that impressed with the way the games were run by the dealers.Both of my dealers were cool but too laid back.The dealers in Vegas ie, Monte carlo + Bellagio were a lot more animated and fun/ " 2 players in the hand" I'll check out MS next weekend I guess

Just got back...broke even after being hit with a MASSIVE cooler, I was only dealt JJ-AA three times, 2 of which were misdeals (QQ and JJ) and the other cracked on the flop by an ace (KK). I finally broke after I hit a set of 7s after 8 hours of play at the 2/5s, and breaking even after that war of attrition is freaking amazing. I had to outplay my opponents with air and semi-bluffs just to stay afloat.

Jpsychlady, it was AWESOME to finally meet you! I started at the 1/2s today, but after someone called my AK raise with T5 and flopped 2 pair (I hit my K), I migrated upstairs...and in all seriousness, I doubt I am going back. It is really not harder, more predictable in terms of pinning opponents on ranges, and is more lucrative...I doubt I am going back to 1/2 after today. I really did try to find you when I arrived, as well, I had the floorman escort me to all of the available 1/2s and I found one with 4 females...talk about playing the percentages . I was going to come down to play some 1/2 with you after I broke even, but it took far too long to get anything .

I dont know how muich of "my story" that you are aware of. I used to play 2-5, 5 days per week until about 2 years ago and then I moved to New England and have not played much at all since except for online and we all kow that is not "real poker"
So, right now, I am just getting my feet wet, getting a feel for the game, trying to hit my stride again. So, hopefully, I will be at 2/5 again soon.

Nice to see that people have finally made a connection in person. I half assed looked around sat night for description of people from here but I was having a bad day card wise and personally so I left after a short session.
