Re: Mohegan Sun Poker Thread

I had my hood on in the convention center for 3 events. 1st time that nobody told me to take it off. Security was nearby. I think I had it on @2/5 for a while but the table was tucked away in the corner.
In the past they've made take it off within minutes.

You can wear them in convention tournaments, but not in the poker room. Not sure the difference, but in the room it is a surveillance rule, not a poker room rule.

Re: Mohegan Sun Poker Thread

Sorry if this question has been answered before:

I just found out that I have a free day tomorrow, and want to take a bus from Boston to Mohegan Sun. What's my best option? I looked at some online, but they don't seem to be taking any reservations, which leads me to believe they're full.

Thanks in advance.

They don't want your face obstructed from cameras. Kind of like how many banks ask you to remove your hat.

Try going to MS at 2am and feel how cold their room is. It's not about being a DB, it's about staying warm. There have been times my hands were shaking it was so cold in there. I've had a hood on just covering the back half of my head/neck and been told to take it off. JFC my ears werent even covered. Guys who wear hats are harder to see in surveillance then I was. Sad part is the management is more concerned about the hoodies then they are about running the damn room.

Yet another huge difference between MS and FW. For the past few months it's been too hot in the FW poker room.

Hadn't played at the Mo for almost 2 years and also when they first opened. What a difference!! The dealers that dealt at my table/s were top notch and really fast. I almost felt rushed. It was nice. Kudos!! Oh, and the extra room at the table was nice.

Should have mentioned I was there for the $180 Bounty Saturday with cash games before and after my BUSTO.

Am I correct in assuming that FW dealers still pool their tips? If so, that is definitely a contributing factor.

Yes, although they are voting next week on changing this.

4/8 limit runs once in a while, other than that it's strictly 2/4. Limit is pretty much nonexistent at mohegan sun. There are lists for mixed games on weekends, but they have trouble filling up.

If you want limit, go to foxwoods.

... but mohegan is the more luxurious of the two, and is definitely worth checking out. Classy room, nice dealers, comfy swivel chairs, friendly waitresses, etc.
