Re: Mohegan Sun Poker Thread
i had a dealer at MS today tell me that an intentional misdeclaration of your hand will not cause a forfeiture of the pot, my example being calling AK on QJ10xx while holding 22.
dealer said that if his hand is the only one live then he gets the pot and a warning to not do it again.
from RRoP ch 11 part 15
"If you miscall your hand and cause another player to foul his or her hand, your hand is dead."
regardless of hand shown i think if it is an insane miscall of the hand you should lose, obv not a miscall of a flush and you misread your hand, the other player should protect his hand, as he still should in this spot as well.
but according to the dealer he basically told me you can angleshoot, once.
wtf

Re: Mohegan Sun Poker Thread
I am curious to see if this is explicitly-mentioned in the MS rulebook, which is available at the front desk of the room.
I had someone attempt an intentional miscall against me once, and if someone mentions a hand that supposedly has mind beaten and he/she is first to flip, I will not budge until I see it as a result.

Re: Mohegan Sun Poker Thread
yeah thats how it should be LDO, but if someone angles some newb who doesnt know better then they should forfeit the pot.
and i dont mean the guy who says nut flsh then flips AhKd on a 3 heart board, (angle or no angle the other person should have protected their hand) but rather an insane miscall like i posted earlier. if any floor allowed this they should really rethink their poker rules
theres no situation where it would be in the best interest of that game to let an angle shooter doing this win the hand

I dont respect anyone that hasnt tried marriage ONCE. Have one of your buds add it to the registy list. Easy game Beata, you can only be mad at yourself for the ban and if you let the noob slow rollers get to you, you can blame yourself for that too. Just sayen'.

I just got into the Hotel here @ MS, from Boston. It was a total crap shoot, some Bimbo with a large stack, & a friend of Tim Wakefield, sat @ my table, the friend was helping her play, I complained only to hear that this was Tims tourny, & he could do that, while he was pushing drinks into his gullet
I stated that Tim wasn't pitching this table, & pushed all-in with A/8, they called with K/7
I was knocked out to her 2 pair..............
So much for the crap shoot.........I'm on the 30th floor, & will be ready in the AM......
PS......They knocked out another player with 7/2 os vs A/K suited.......

Yup, that's why you should always fold face up.

Re: Mohegan Sun Poker Thread
F'nCat get out of your room and go downstairs right now, look for a kid in a white ball cap and white ipod head phones with blonde hair and probably a little drunk right now. (Hilarious hand below)
Although i said i was going to take a break from poker for a couple days my friend called me to party for his 21st and while i would have loved to i have work at 730 am so i agree to DD and play some BJ with him, have a beer and then ill play poker while they go to luckys...breakeven at BJ after playing for 30 min and im off to the room
Drunk kid CO ~90.... raises to 12
Hero Button Covers, dealth AsAd raises to 32
Drunk calls, heads up to flop
245r
DRunk sticks it in
I snap
He tables Qh9h
Turn Q River 9

Painful... almost the same hand happened to me a couple weeks ago. Raise 6x at a 1/2NL table (was standard at this table, is the standard open always so high live?) AsAh from CO and get called by some old lady in the SB. 2h5d9d board, I bet pot ($30) and she insta-shoves for a total of $120 or so more. I'm always thinking set here but never seem to fold.. she flips KhTh, sighs, and walks away. Everyone starts calling her back after two hearts peel =\
Don't mean this to be a BBV post, though I certainly feel your pain. In relation to table etiquette, if the table was silent and the lady left the room, do I get to scoop this pot? Got off the table shortly after this hand steaming a little, though this lady was complete spew and I would certainly want her back with a stack if I were any of the other players, so I can't really blame them.
