MGM got away from printing the comp vouchers and redeeming them at the food outlets. This is a good development. Now they can load the amount requested on your card and you can use the same at the food outlets.

I hope they would update their systems soon so you don't have to approach a floor for converting comps to cash.

There seems to be a line at the registration desk for loading comps to cash and for signing up for a WL. Is it possible to move the comp conversion to the back podium of the room so it does not interfere with the WL signup? It might be a moot point if the upgrade happens, where you don't have to approach a floor for conversion.

I came here to ask about this, because it is not consistent with either TDA rules or the rules at most cardrooms that I have played in. I found it was creating a lot of confusion, as at least half the players (and some dealers) were not aware that this was the rule. I'm not sure why this was changed, but quite a few people at my tables were confused, complaining about it, having to ask the floor about it, etc.

Hoping you will reconsider this and change it back to a positional showdown in accordance with the rules at most venues!
Where are the rules posted? It would be nice to be able to reference them or know if something has changed.

I'll be at the MGM all weekend (DeadMau5 hat), if anyone runs into me, say hey.

Rules are posted on the wall by table 1 and by table 20. Not sure if they contain the order for tabling hands at showdown, though.

Is the dress code still being enforced Friday thru Sunday? I checked the MGM National Harbor website but could not find anything about a dress code. If it's there, could somebody point me to it?

The dress code was for New Year's weekend only.

I'm assuming the comps on the card expire after a short time? If not then all we have to do is periodically move all our comps from poker comps to the card (whenever the desk isn't busy).

So does the new comp policy mean we can go to the podium and convert all our poker comp $ to our Mlife card? And use them like regular comp $? Do they expire or have to be used by a certain time?

JG can you shed some light on these:

1) Do comps converted to cash expire by end of the day?
2) Is it possible to periodically convert our comps to cash, so, we don't have to bother the floor?
3) If I convert X amount and use partially does the balance still remain on my card?

1) comps can't be converted to cash. They are loaded on the Mlife card and do not expire.
2) We are working on a solution to allow the periodic converison. It's best to do it on an as-needdd basis right now.
3) if you convert an amount, you lose any unused portion after your first transaction.

Just a PSA on the lock for the safety deposit box room, make sure if you flip the lock to the lock position (pointing at the door frame) you flip it back towards the door before leaving the room...the door will let you open the door from the inside with the lock in the "locked position" and then will remain locked from the outside...

Thank you. If it is left locked, it requires a manager to unlock it, making the process take longer.

Once the shift manager gets it up, I'm gonna be here today trying to get a 6/12 or 8/16 mix game going.

I'm thinking something like hold em, O8, razz, S8, and 2-7Td

Two hours almost, asked twice and the interest list still isn't up.

How can we even have a chance to entice people to come play if it's not showing on bravo.

Come on.

Sounds like a design flaw.

So just to clarify as an example.....

I can convert $30 to my Mlife card today. It won't expire so I can use it a few months from now for dinner. But if dinner only costs $22, then I lose the other $8?

Not complaining about it, I just want to make sure it's clear. I know a fix is in the works.

This is correct. I usually ask for something low since I don't mind paying the difference of $ 5 or something.

I've been following Bravo and seen the 2500-no max PLO on Fridays and Saturdays and yesterday (Sunday) I saw a 10k-no max PLO with a waiting list.
Are these games mostly pros or a good combination of pros/rich guys that like to gamble?

With this new system (thanks btw) does this mean we can use the poker comps at restaurants outside the food court now?

You could use them outside the food court before. I've use poker comps at Fish, Tap, Starbucks, and Marcus.
