I played in it along with my 81 year old Dad. 28 people played and we finished 9th and 7th. It was an enjoyable tourny and it was cool to do something different.
It cost $55 with dealer add on and most of the players were older as you might expect. It was run well except for a few problems early on but once the dealers and players got adjusted it was fun. My dad really enjoyed it which was the main reason I played. I asked my table if they would come back and play again and everyone said yes.

I second what pghdonkey said. I hope the Meadows stays somewhat popular. You can't compare it to the Rivers, though. The locations don't even compare. I think the Meadows is run alot better and seems to be more organized. I like it alot more than the Rivers Casino and will continue to play at the Meadows.

I have played in some of the smaller tourneys and the competition is very weak. Has anyone played in the Saturday afternoon tournament yet? 200 + 25 buy in plus a 25 dollar bounty. What's the competition like? I'm thinking about playing Saturday.

Oh yeah, and on a side note. They recently just started a bad beat jackpot. The last I heard, the hand you have to beat is aces full of jacks.

What was the prize pool like? How many players? Did you get a lot of play out of your 10000 chips?

im plannin on playin on the 28th in the 225 dollar one. i would go this saturday but im already goin to mountaineer and i have a commitment later on in the day.

im givin it one chance, then im not playin in it again if it sucks. how many people did they get just outta curiousity??

Thank you so much, finally someone who agrees with me that even their "deep stack" tournaments move way to quickly. Levels are short, and blinds jump quickly including skipping from 400/800 with 100 ante to 600/1200 with 150 ante. Thats going from 2200 every time around the table to 3300 in one level, in the second hour!!! You are only starting with 12000 even with the add on, thats 25% of your stack to get around the table one time, WITHOUT EVEN PLAYING A HAND, in the second hour. GM you can say what you want, is $250 enough to expect some play for my money??? Unless you can double up in the first hour, which is hard because most people can at least hold it together that long and play tight, you will be short stacked before you really get a feel for your opponents. At that point post flop play is meaningless, you better be ready to push if you call with anything and you are not in the blinds.

It doesn't appear it is much of a deep stack whatsoever. I will stick to cash games and the 50 + 15 tournies it looks like.

Can you redeem your player's club points with chips at the poker table? I still don't really get the benefits of your player's card.

That is a pretty reasonable buy in/rake.

I don't like how you can lose you bounties though all the way up to the final table (roughly).

The only bounty tourney I played in you could only lose your original bounty.

What? If you bust you lose every bounty you collected? Purpose of a bounty tourny is to keep the bounties of everyone you bust and only lose your own once you bust.

That's what I thought, but I read somewhere (I am looking to find it) that said once you get down to the bubble person that's when you keep them.

i saw quite a few cash out their bounties that didn't make the final table both Thursday and Saturday tournaments i don't know where anyone got the info you loose all them it's probably the same person that said Eric and Jamison where fighting and it almost came to blows which never happened i was there for that and it never even got close to even a verbal argument.

Supposed to bring in a lot of big names to play in this. You gotta call and speak to the manager to enter from what i understand

Yes you loose "your" bounty chip when knocked out and you are right on with the buy-in, it's a great tournament I think, also Thursday nights are the mini bounty tournament it's pretty fun $65 + $5 dealer add-on $10 bounties.

id think they would be advertising this on the website. no one seems to know about this 1000 dollar sit n go, so i doubt it happens. labor day possibly, but why is it not on the website??

thanks donkey, im glad to see that meadows getting their act together a little bit concerning this. the fact they offer tournaments before rivers gives them at least some kinda leg up.

Headed down next friday for tournament, cash, and table games, any report from this weekend would be awesome.

Midnight Madness tourney was great need more people next time but a lot of fun was had, there is one held every Friday and Saturday night 12000 in starting chips and if the structure holds true just rising blinds no antes.

Also I was told that next Friday will be a $65 rebuy satellite tournament for the Labor day $1K classic that will be some fun but the labor day classic will be the best.

How many players were in midnight tourney? Do you know anything about the 7 pm tournament?

The 1k for this weekend could not get approved in time. The 1k on the 5th of Sept is a DONE DEAL!!!! Call the poker room and ask for Peter or Eric for the details. I was told blinds would be 25 mins with 20k in starting chips. This will be the first tourney in PA of this high of buy in, not including the underground games over the past 15 years. It looks like they will be having a super satellite with rebuys the day or two before this event. They also will be holding single table satellites for $120 on Sat Sept 4th, not sure of the start times.

I was told that the meadows is starting to comp the poker players food and drinks in the 5/10 NLH game while they are at the table. If this is the case, this could start to really draw some players. That is like saving $25-$40 per session, and most poker players that are serious look for ways to save.

Please let me know if anyone can confirm this.

I was there on Friday night from 9:30-12:30

I can answer 2 questions above.

First off the 12 tourney killed the table action and 3 tables were playing with about 6 people, I personally hated it.

2nd I played at the table right next to the 5/10 NL and I did hear them say their food and drinks were comped.
