Did anyone play in the 10/20 yesterday? Curious how the game was. Thinking about playing it sometime if it becomes a regular thing on Mondays.

Is that all-in? I call.

I love MD Live but the must move ruined what was the juciest action in the room. It's worst for bad players/people who come for the social aspects of the game. Said player sits with friends and then friends are shuffled off to main game. Not to mention that once regulars hit the main game they are just feasting on the bad players now cause the floor just filters them in now. So it's bad for the poker and poker room economy. Not to mention table selection is over. Another bad aspect is once the must move game drops to 5-6 players most regs/news want to quit playing so it impacts the rake as well

MD Live either needs to keep it 10 handed with no must move or my ideal solution and keep it 9 handed with no must move.

I'll take 10 handed for no must move. And I think most 2/5 players would as well. Until then mgm it is sadly. And I live 5 minutes from MD Live lol.

Sounds good to me Kenzo, enjoy the drive. Make sure you get an MLife card.

Really, why do you say that? My first experience was terrible and the other two times followed a similar pattern. I get sat. From then on the floor disrupts the flow of the game every couple minutes when we get a new player or a seat opens up in the mg. It also limits the amount of hands we get in per hour which also negatively impacts the dealers and the rake. On one occasion my table got down to 3 handed while we waited to be moved. With that came the onslaught of moaning by the players which also slows the game down. One player asked if we would play heads up if it came to that and it was reasonable. I love playing shorthanded if I know I'm going to be playing short for a while. I'm not a fan of playing a few hands and then having it switched up on me. Now mind you, on this specific example all this occurred in one hour. Now I'm sure on the weekend, what happened to me is unlikely to happen to you, but during the week nights it is very possible.

I also wasn't a big fan of having bad players being moved off of my table only to find out they either busted or left when I reached the main game. Thus, wasting my entire time playing.

I also think it's very important to state new players/casual players/bad players don't want to be moved from their table unless they alone are choosing to do so. Reasons:just sat down, tables fun, playing with friends, lucky seat/table, might be stuck/might be winning, fed to good players (most likely unknowingly), also to the newb it might be confusing or disorienting but I'm speculating on that.

My original rant was done on a whim. So I hope this explains my position better. I have an open mind though and some people clearly think I'm wrong so please tell me why.

I'm a bit surprised that MDL went to a must move for 2/5. When I looked yesterday there were 5 games running. Normally I'd only expect to see a must move for a game that struggles to get 2 tables going.

It seems that a must move should really be a last resort because it's likely to make people unhappy. You're sitting at a good must move game and get moved to a main game that's full a decent regs. Even the new players to the main game are more likely to be decent players because the fishiest fish bust in the must move.

If there are 17 people in the room who want to play 2/5 I get making a main game and a must move. If you don't you can either run 1 table with 8 people waiting (or playing 1/2) or you can run 2 and risk both of them breaking when they get to 6 handed. But if there are 50 people in the room who want to play 2/5 why run a must move?

I don't know how it's implemented there, but you can have a single must move that feeds multiple main games.

That is what we have, so I have trouble understanding the issue. You're only moved once unless you wish to move after that. So you still have the option to choose your game. You get to take your chips with you even when choosing to move. And since we've implemented the change, we've had at least 2 more games each day with a game going all night every night but one

Thanks

Mike

Hey Mike, I hit a high hand two nights ago, but only three of us were dealt in, so I wasn't paid. However, the dealer had been taking the drop anyway while we played three handed for about ten minutes and the floor was told this. Should I have received the $150? I'm kind of miffed about it.

What difference does it make if the players are seated in order of arrival from a signup list or in order of arrival from a must move table, assuming that the floor distributes the players amongst the main game(s) in the same manner?

Joe,

You can't hit a high hand 3 handed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the shift manager apologized and lowered the rake from $2 to $1 to make up for the dealer error?

Thanks

Yes he did lower the rake

That is correct. For aces full mini you need to have an ace in your hand.

I was out of town for a couple of weeks, so I don't know many details. I did check Bravo a week ago (8/7) around midnight or maybe a bit later and it was not running (not sure if it ever started that day), but I did check last night (8/14) around 11:00pm and it was running.

Bravo currently says that the 10/20 LHE game is scheduled to run on Mondays starting at 6:55pm with a $3 max rake and it is jackpot eligible (which I guess means there is an additional $2 drop to fund the jackpot).

I'm not sure when I can play, but I would like to give it a shot a few times.

Hey Mike,
Is there anyway you can give us a heads up about any tournament running on Labor Day? I called the poker room, but no one knew. I'm trying to plan in advance and it's hard when the calendars don't come out til a few days before the month.
Thanks in advance for any help.

For sure there will be a Black Chip Bounty. Probably be a WPT Main Event Satellite as well.

Thanks

There's a limited supply of menus. Guy at my table has been waiting an hour for one. I wouldn't mind ordering. If more can't be made, maybe putting one online to see?

There are plenty of menus. Just found a bunch for the waitress. They're also at upstairs brush stand. The online idea is great. I'll forward that to F and B.

Thanks

Wow, Bravo is showing 2 tables and 6 on the list for the 10/20 LHE right now.! Hope this game keeps gaining traction! I'm hoping I can come play next week or the week after that. Schedule has been a little screwy at work lately with a bunch of my staff on PTO.

Mega was hit Sunday afternoon for $82k.

Flopped sets turned and rivered quads, if I heard right. I was a few tables down.

AAAAK over KKKKA

I couldn't make it again tonight, but I did check Bravo several times. At 7:00pm, the 10/20 LHE list had 12 names on it. At 8:00, there was a game going with 6 more on a list. At 9:00, there were 2 games of 10/20 LHE going (but no list).

It looks like this may start to be a regular Monday night thing. And as people recognize that this game runs every Monday, more and more people may show up. Good job ML! I will try to get there on a Monday night soon.
