For the 5000 hot seat giveaway next month. It will likely be profitable to just sit at a 1-3 table and just post blinds and never play a hand. 8-12$ an hour with a chance to win 500$. Hell you can spend the majority of your time away from the table pay no in rake and have the same chance as anyone else. At least with high hands you have to put money in the pot. The more hands you play the better chance you have to win.
You're right.i didn't put much thought into it. Mainly b/c I could care less what they do. I will say that I highly doubt people will sit n fold every single hand(ok well 4/8 limit yea)to win around a 1/200 chance(ex 20 J.P.E. tables all full). Nobody is playing 1/3 or 2/5 to pay blinds and fold everything.
As to the "nittery" factor, taking your point as %100 correct, people do this for high hands now. I've personally witnessed multiple times players fold a QQ,JJ etc facing a $7-$10 raise b/c they can't hit the HH b/c it's quad A's or a straight flush for ex.
Other people do exactly as you described now. Fold everything except limping with suited connectors,or pairs that can make a high hand.
Neither is perfect, but to think my idea would encourage "nittery",it would only maintain or lesson what goes on now. While making these j.p.e. games play somewhat more normal.
