I haven't played a tournament at live in months but this wasn't the policy before and certainly isn't at most places. In cash games it's fine for B not to show but my understanding is the rationale for making players show in tournaments is to prevent collusion/chip dumping

I think you are misremembering. This is a TDA rule. We don't follow it in cash games

Thanks

Mike is it too early to ask about April Promo's?

I know the WPT would be in town and you would be busy with that on the tournament front.

Anyone have info on the number of runners for the $450 100k multi-flight (Mar 23 - 25) tourney? Do I need to get there early on Saturday to register?

Thanks.

106 so far today for B and ?81? for A yesterday.

You should be fine coming later than the start time. It's the $65 Bankroll Builder where most people encounter long lines and alternate lists

Mike,

I saw something during one of the Live! Size flights the other day that looked a little off. A player busted and re-entered multiple times during the same flight. Each time, he returned to the exact same table and seat. I thought the seats were supposed to be assigned randomly so I asked the TD. He gave a feeble explanation about most tables being full and it just happened that way by coincidence. I let it go but this seems extremely unlikely. During our conversation, there were at least 3 empty seats in my field of vision, one at my own table, to which the player could have been reassigned. The player re-entered 5 times and returned to the same seat. I recognize the player as a regular tournament player at ML and wondered if he was given some kind of preferential treatment. Frankly, I would like a player with multiple bust-outs who might be on tilt to sit at my own table.

Thanks for listening.

The April promotions are out. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring the sheet home with me, and some of the details are hard to remember. There are drawings for $2,000 per hour on three of the five Sundays in April, where you get one ticket per hour played that week. If the first name drawn for that hour isn't there, $1,000 is rolled over - but the rollovers are cleared out every 3 hours or so by another drawing.

It is on Bravo, but it is also lacking all the details. I recommend you stop by and read the paper available at the front desk if you want to know exactly how it works.

No details on Bravo indeed. Bravo says $2000 each hour w/rollovers. 12p - 11p Sundays. Tickets earned in JP eligible games starting 3/27 (today).

I think this is the same as when they did this a while back. If no first-draw winner, they keep drawing for a $1000 winner, then the next drawing is $3000. If no first-draw winner for that, they keep drawing for a $1000 winner, then the next drawing is $4000.

I got an email about the tournaments, and following a few links, I ended up at the ML web page for poker promotions. It lists late night high hands - $250 every 30 minutes from 11:00pm - 7:00am. It also lists a Fri/Sat hourly high hands, 11:00am - 11:00pm, $2100 split between the top 5 hands. But not between April 14-24.

The flier with the details is on-line at https://www.marylandlivecasino.com/s...P%205%20HH.pdf

so basically 2100/5= $420 hourly high hands on fri/sat.

Whoever came up this this weird high hand promo is smoking something <pun intended>

clarify for those who don't get it:
420= police code for Marijuana Smoking in Progress

Just to be clear, it's $2100. It's only $420 if there are 5 hands posted

Thanks

Mike

Shouldn't happen unless that's the only seat, or if the player is sight impaired, then we may do that.

Thanks

fixed sun drawing times.
and great about smoothing out the drawing payouts!

What's the straddle on the 1/3?

Anybody have an idea of what time the 20-40 LHE game may start tonight? Thanks.

Looking forward to seeing what the 1/3 game is like while 1/2 is still offered.

I've enjoyed playing 1/3 at the new place over 2/5 here.

I'd love to play 1/3 with the average 1/2 player pool.

Kudos on trying new things to see learn what works.

Very interesting. I saw a 5/5 NLHE (maybe just interest list) on Bravo too.

I don't know that I've seen a room before be able to sustain both 1/2 and 1/3 but I'd love to see it happen.

Sugarhouse in Philly seems to have both without issue, although i've only been there during prime hours (multiple times though)

Yeah the fear of course being - the fish only want to play 1/2 leaving the 1/3 to only the better players who now go back to 1/2 to chase the fish.

According to Bravo Sugarhouse has 8 1/2, 3 1/3 and 2 2/5 right now. That's pretty decent. MDL has 13 1/2 and 4 2/5 atm. If that turns into 9 1/2 5 1/3 and 3 2/5 I'd jump in the 1/3.

Seems like it could be bad for the 2-5 because 1-2 players will move to 1-3 instead of 2-5

9 or 10 handed for 2/5?
