Hi there,

been a reg at this venue for a while and thought its definitely time to put up a general thread.

IMHO, King's has developed into a viable poker site throughout the last years with sometimes pretty crazy guarantees on MTT (up to 500k so far) and nice CG action during weekends.

This could serve as a place to collect any thoughts, questions and comments on this venue.

---

I will start out with offering a ride from Berlin to Rozvadov on February 8th (2 seats available) when GCOP XII tournament series is about to start.

Thanks for the read.

Thinking about going to this tournament but no idea how to get there without a car from Berlin

I guess get the train to Nurnberg and then?

Lift would have been awesome, but I probably wouldn't want to go down until just before the main.

What are the accomodation options around there?

1) From Nurnberg Hauptbahnhof, there is a daily bus shuttle to Kings. I guess it departs at 5pm or so, but better check website.

2) Accomodation is a little bit adventureous. King's Casino itself usually is completely overbooked during highlight events. However, both on the Czech and German side there are a lot of smaller bed and breakfeast places around. Best thing would be to call Kings Poker staff and frankly ask for offers.

3) Should you decide that you wanna play the wednesday warmup (40k GTD / 166 byuin), let me know, I can give you a ride from Berlin.

Hi there !
I have planned a trip in august to play there. I will play a few tourneys.
I know it may be hard to answer, but what is the average level ?! I mean, is it full of dutch regs or something?! I haven't an idea of what I can expect...

I am in Prague at the moment and due to leave on Thursday. I was thinking of going to Rozvadov for a few days.

A couple of questions.
1. Is there reasonably cheap transport to get there.
2. Do cash games run 24/7? And if not what time do they usually start?
3. Is there budget accommodation available near casino?

Hi Baztalkspoker did you go there? How were the cash games? Could give details about stakes, rake? If you have another recommendation for other casinos in Prague, it can be great to hear it? We are planning to move to Prague.

posting this while sitting at one of the tables at Rozvdov.

This place seems to be more like a tournament venue than cash game. Was told it's slow but no game going all day until 7pm and then it's shorthanded 1-3 and ppl buy in short.

I "heard" that there are cash games going up to 5-10 and the weekend is alot better in terms of action and I am inclined to believe that to some extent but no game on a wednesday and only 1 game going most of the day tuesday is not a good setup for someone serious about the game. There is also heavy smoking right at the table which is maybe tolerable only for a few times but I could not see myself playing in smoke every day.

The tournament structure and attendance is really good though but I felt people played alot better than in the tournaments I placed in AC at a comparable buy-in.

There is accomodation and during the week it's really cheap, 25bucks for an OK room in what appears to be a hostel type setup but everything was new/clean. For patrons of the Casino, the breakfast is free, which is pretty insane.

There is another "hotel" right in the casino but it's more like rooms on a 2nd level of a house than a hotel. They call it their 5-star but it's not comparable to a 5-star hotel at all and looking at the prices, it can't be. They charge 50 bucks during the week but apparently on weekends these rooms are reserved for "high" rollers and regulars/VIPs where I think you qualify as a high roller if you play $50/hand at BJ.

I really really don't know why there is no craps in Europe.

Is the cashgame offer still a problem?

Thinking of going down for Eureka, would probably take a friend with me that plans to just click 1-2 mtts over the few days and looking to grind <2/5.
Weekend shouldn't be a problem, looked at king's homepage last weekend and on a saturday afternoon there were like 4-5 1/3 tables and 1-2 5/5+ running.

Does anyone know transport options to Kings from Prague? All I can find is a shuttle for 100 euro... seems steep

Hi guys!

Looking to spend a short vacation in Prague and hoping to play some poker during the time. Was there during last December for Prague Poker Festival and it was very enjoyable.

As likely staying at the Corinthias hotel, would prefer to play at the Prague King's Casino. Now the issue - from King's Casino website, they have a very comprehensive and nice tournament schedule for King's Casino in Rozvadov, but nothing specific for Prague. Not very eager to go well out of Prague as looking to spend some time in the city as well.

Not big on cash games (I think they have some running in King's Prague), so MTT is what I'm after. Unfortunately no reply from King's email, so maybe any of the locals can confirm if they have nightly MTT-s there (or at least during the weekends) and what might be the BI-s and structures?

Thanks a bunch!

Hi!

maybe I'm overly optimistic (or naive) on getting a response on this issue but planning my first trip to Rozvadov to play a MTT.

Looking at the Saturday deepstack that they seem to run every now and then:
http://www.pokerroomkings.com/index....aments-en.html

Maybe someone has played it and can give some feedback if it really is the kind of marathon that it looks like? I mean (plus re-entry), playing 25K stack with 40 min levels for a 1 day tournament feels extremely rough (if the guarantee really is 50K).

Does not feel like it's a 12 hour poker day, more like 20 hours of grinding which is pretty grueling.

Any experiences to share regarding this structure at Rozvadov?

This thread has been seriously quiet for ages...
I'm also interested in going to Rozvadov for a week from Berlin (wish that free ride offer 5 years ago still valid lol)
Since no one directly answer the steak/hours/rake questions yet, I check out their website, and they still have a 1/3 full table running at this time, I guess that alone is better than Berlin
Will do some research and try to book the ticket/accommodation today, any one interested joining or share some info?

I will be going to Rozvadov for a few weeks, maybe up to a month for some MTTs, weed and fishing. I will arrive around the 11th April, looking to rent a small house/hut/barn, dont really care as long as its waterproof. If anyone wants to cost share, PM me. I will likely pick up a junker disposable car to get around town/fishing spots.

They offer options for a shuttle to pick you up from airports in Munich, Nuremberg or Prague. E-Mail shuttle@kingscasino.eu to check if they can accommodate you.

As for the pickup, you can go with the train to Weiden, this is not much slower, and the pickup from there will be much cheaper.
https://www.bahn.de/p/view/index.shtml
For the port of entry, normally Munich. If you can get a flight to Nuremberg this is just as good, but this is a much smaller airport, normally you can't get cheap tickets for intercontinental flights. Prague is much worse due to higher distance and bad Czech roads.
You might want to consider renting a car as Rozvadov is deep in the countryside.
