I have certainly had my rants on our poker room, but wanted to pay a compliment to Jacks on its day 2 of their event. They did a great job of communication throughout the day, filling busted seats and the dealers were on top of things. Disappointed I busted just short of the money.. But it was one of my most enjoyable days ever in the room. I hope they run more multi flight / multi day tournaments going forward. I think it can be good for the room and can only grow on its field size they had. Well done guys and gals.

Just don't play the preliminary events.

They make change almost every tourney here. Yesterday we had a green chip bounty tourney, it was pretty good turnout, over 40 people

Anyone know how the friday $5000 high hand promo works? Is it multiple payouts per hour or just one payout for the time period?

17 people on the 2/5 nl list and not enough dealers to start a second game on a Saturday night. Open seating for all other games. The incompetence of this place never ceases to amaze me.

18 tables (3 plo and 1 2/5) and 75 runners in the night tournament is hardly evidence of incompetences for not opening a second 2/5.

If the dealers were hired, classified, and scheduled correctly this wouldn't be an issue. To be fair, you can't blame the floor supervisors and lower for this because they are at a disadvantage with the systems put in place by management.

Anyone have a link for the rake structure of the upcoming tournament series?

my friends playing in the psycho 50 rebuy right now saying its possible to enter for 5x or 10x starting stacks or some kind of nonsense, is this true?

Yes. It was capped at 150 entries. It is a complete zoo here.

Huge LOL: finally leaving the room after a 15 hour session including Ladies Tournament. We ended up agreeing to a 5 way chop on the $5k guarantee - giving me first place money + $250 since I ended up with 45% of the chips in play at the time of chop. I rarely, if ever play tournaments and basically took down the tournament (fairly effortlessly.) As I was waiting to get paid out, I jokingly asked the dealer of results showed on Hendon Mob. Dealer said, "what does that mean?" I said "forget it," however she insisted on calling floor over and asking him. Floor stated, what is "Hendon Mob?" I casually answered that it was a database of results of all/most published poker tournaments in rooms worldwide. Floor replies, "huh, never heard of it. Maybe we'll look into this. Can you tell me how to spell Hendon?"

Will do. I played this tourny in September and came in second. If I remember correctly, 63 players and ended around 630p. I thought it was well run but had one minor complaint. They got more people then expected and had to pull some dealers in that never dealt it. Slowed things down a bit but not overly so. Wish they would run this one more often and also a PLO8 tourny.

Hopefully they will be well equipped with dealers, since there is no promo running during the day Thursday. You'd think they would offer pre-registration (more than the standard two hours in advance) to players as a means of gaging how many runners they may have and how to properly staff for such events. I'm going to suggest this when I'm there, tomorrow. Can you see any downside to them offering registration all week for special tourneys such as this?

Played in the Limit Omaha 8 or better game on Thursday. 73 entries. I ended up in 10th place, paid top 8. Pretty much a well run tournament. Looking forward to playing this one again soon.

Room is above average busy today - high hand promo applies to tournament players and cash tables. If promo hits in tournament- automatic $500 added to next hours promo $ paid to cash tables.

In addition, $45k bad beat hot roughly an hour ago (K high straight flush beat quad 8s) so there is a lot of money flying around the room today.

What's with this bounty only tournament on Saturday night? I mean i would be surprised if it runs anyways since they have a noon tourney and they cancelled last Saturday nights tourney too. The tourney is $125 and $100 bounty only. Seems counterintuitive to the reasons to play a tournament.

Also side note I do not like the addition of the button straddle either.
