It seems to be going to 2-3 nights a week. When you come in, we'd be happy to take down a number to call whenever it starts

The Westin is a nice place fairly close and if you mention the Isle. they'll give you our rate. I don't know what it is at this time, but usually around $89 a night. The number is 954-772-1331.

Take care

Mike...

Is there any reason why players are not encouraged to initially buy in at the cage? Every time a new game starts, or a new player comes to an existing game, the game stops for buy ins. Why can't the brush advise players to buy in at the cage? Seems logical to me, but maybe I'm missing something...

Currently the dealer calls for a player buy in and when the chip runner returns he or she gets stiffed on a tip more often than not...if a player is too lazy to go to the cage then he or she should atleast tip the chip runner a buck or two IMO

We have decided we prefer not to allow those at the table. Too many problems can arise.

We originally did encourage them to get their initial buy at the cage, but it's so unfriendly that we have shyed away from it in trying to provide better customer service.

Thanks

Thank you very much for that, Mike. There's no need for that stuff at the table, at the very least they tend to slow the game down.

Mike or anyone,

Can I get a game report? I moved about an hour south of the Isles recently and I'd like to get a game report before taking the hike up the Isles.

Thanks in advance!

Yea, How about a update from a regular or from Mike. So I can update the spreadsheet. Since you have many different buy ins listed for each limit. Which limits and buy ins go DAILY and which go OCCASIONALLY.
Or if the buy ins have been condensed to 1 set per limit then let me know that also so I can eliminate the others.
Thanks.

In Limit Games:
1-2, 2-4, and 4-8 are regular
In NL 1/2,2/5, 5/10 are regular with a 10/25 4 or 5 Nights a week

We rarely get a Florida No Limit $100 Max

$4-8 O8 1/2 Kill we get a couple of every day, sometimes we get 3. The 10-20 O8 1/2 Kill is getting more and more regular.

We get a 100-200 or 30-60 Mixed game 2 or 3 Nights

So far no new limit games above 4-8. We may have had 0ne 6-12 game since July 1.

Is that every table? How many tables does the Isle have? Not much more if any I would guess.

Mike,
First let me apologize for my last post. I was unaware that you could not use the names of different casino personnel in the post. I play Omaha 8 at the Isles 4/5 times a week from 10 am to 4 pm. I like the first table or main game because I do not want to pick up my stuff and move. Today (Sunday) the main and must move tables were next to each other. A third table was placed on the other side of the poker room about 3 pm. Then we had a seat available at the main game, we were informed that the must move table, was not the next table to our location, but across the poker room, and the third table was now the feeder table for both games (the main and old must move tables). This does not make much sense to the players in the main game that started at 10:30 today and needed to be filled in the late afternoon. Please let me know if this is fair to the main game, when the floor personnel have to walk from table to table to finding people to fill both tables. The main game played short for long periods of time during this period.
Thanks

No apologies needed. We have discussed doing what was done Sunday, but it shouldn't have been implemented. It is however, very likely that we are going to change our must moves to only protecting the games for one hour.

Thanks for the comments

The juice in these smaller buy in tournaments is getting ridiculous.Event #3 was 230 buy in for 13000 chips but you can do an add on for 2000 chips for another 20 which makes it 15000 chips for 250 dollars. The reason they do this bs is bc if they advertised the buy in was 200+ 50 people would start complaining and not play bc thats 25 percent juice....so they make it where it looks like your getting something and then wam they got 90 percent of the field paying 25 percent juice...The 500 tomorrow is 500+50 and a 20 dollar optional add on for 20 for 2000 more chips which makes it 570 only 14 percent juice which is not that bad and the main event is 1000+100 and a 20 dollar optional add on for 20 which is 1120 ...only 12 percent juice.

I think we as poker players should strike ANY tournament that is trying to screw us with this 25 percent juice bs.The 500 and 1000 are being run farely but the 200 is not profitable at all for ANY player in the longrun !!

AFAIK add-on goes to dealers/staff instead of house, Agree it prob could have been a bit less for smaller buyins, esp the plo which ran all of what, 5 hours? Would have liked to have seen a little deeper structure and my suited aaxx not lose to unsuited aaxx aipf

I played in the $225. PLO last night. It was very well run even through the Hold'em event was still going on. But you need more strating chips, maybe 10K. Thanks for your answer. Is the 1 hour protection of the main game, after the must table opens or after the third table opens? The last time I was at the Orleans in Las Vegas, they has 4 must more tables going at all times feeling the main game. Could you find out how and why they can make it work? I will not play in the main game for 4 or 5 hours and have it break at 4 'oclock when the must more is off. Thanks
