I'd appreciate your interpretation of two scenarios:
1. The game is heads-up before the river card. This clearly qualifies for unlimited raises between the two players on the river betting round, right?

2. 3 players in the game before the river card. 1st player bets, 2nd player raises, 3rd player re-raises, 1st player folds. The game is now heads-up. But does it qualify for unlimited raises between the two remaining players, since the round did not start heads-up? I've seen it ruled both ways.

Thank you very much for your participation in this forum.
We will have 1 bet and 4 raises unless the State disallows and once a round becomes heads up, the raises will be unlimited, again, unless disallowed by the State, but I don't foresee that.

The rule is typically that if there was more than two players in the hand when the pot was capped, it is not considered heads up for that round. So it's much easier just to say that raises are unlimited only when heads up starting a round.

Mike,

How is current interest for 7card stud games at the Isle? I was there a couple months ago when a rare 7card stud table opened, but it was shorthanded for a bit and eventually closed after only a couple hours. Has this changed since then, and/or do you expect it to change once July 1 rolls around?

If you played seven stud a couple months ago, then you played in the last one we've had. There is rarely any interest, but with mixed games coming up, you never know how things might change.

Thanks

Don't quote me (LOL)but I think it's 6000 units and our normal weekly structure w/o antes. I'm at home so I'm guessing a little. Not much buzz, but it's up against a couple of tournaments that weekend, so hopefully we'll get 40-50 and everyone can get some practice.

Thanks

If it was less it would be harder to see if the dealers are getting it, it would turn into Pot Pot Pot, all-in,all-in,all-in pre-flop too often.

You could run a one-time, deep-stacked PLO tourney with low house fees to see if the dealers "get it." It would give the players value for their money and the dealers experience (along with the floor to determine who can deal PLO and who can't).

On the PLO games are you going to be counting the small blinds as a full bet when someone bets pot? So the opening bet on the 2/5 PLO will it be $17 or $20? I think it should be counted as a full bet to help speed the game.

Thats what they said they would do at HR, probably pretty standard. idk, I'm not a PLO player.

In the $1-$2 game and in tournaments, the count will be actual. In $2-$5 and above, we'll round up and count the small blind as a full bet.

Hope to see you Saturday.

BTW, we will be going live at 12:01am on July 1 for 3 hours if anyone is interested

OK, who is going to play in the PLO tournament tomorrow. 2pm, so it isn't too early. I am going to be there unless something unforeseen comes up. I am just hoping to get at least 40 players.
So who is in?

I'm just glad there will be PLO cash games in Florida. When they were running PLO SNGs people sat down at the table and had no clue how to even play Omaha. If PLO cash games never run (kind of like the Omaha8 game barely runs) I will cry.

Questions to Mike Smith:

Will you be cutting the sit n go tournaments after July 1st? If not, will PLO sit n goes become a normal thing? The majority I've asked seem to speculate that the sit n go tournaments will be no more, and I'd like an official response and not hearsay.

Are you guys planning to expand the room? I've heard a rumor that you are going to get rid of the track side bar and put more poker tables there. I found it hard to believe especially considering this came from a older woman that drank a little too much wine and there is not really any place you could move the kitchen to.

After July 1st, will you offer more than complimentary bottled water and fountain drinks to players? I'd really like you to offer free alcohol so people get drunk and give me all their money.

Will you ever be able to buyin to tournaments with your players card balance?

I can't really think of anything else to ask right now, but I'm sure I'll think of something else eventually.

Also I'm wondering what the average age of 2p2ers playing at The Isle is. I am 22 years old and I do not play live poker much because I'm not really rolled for it. I play backed online.

There is no reason to cut out Sit n Gos unless there is no demand for them. I think we will be looking at enhancing the PLO SNGs if they continue to be popular after July 1.

At this time, while we have some plans if we find expansion necessary, there are no immediate plans on expansion. Does that make sense?

Florida State Law does not allow complimentary alcohol to slot players, so hopefully you can see the issue there if we comped alcohol in poker. We are however improving our return to players that have player's cards. NL players will get a minimum of $1.00 per hour and up to $1.50 on some of the bigger games. That can be use for food or alcohol. If you choose to redeem your points for cash back, you will be paid $.50 on a $1.00 which you can use it for tournament buy-ins, but no, you couldn't simply swipe your card.

After July 1st when you offer cash back, will my current players card balance be eligible for this? Or only play on and after July 1st?

What is the cash equivalent to 100 points?

Played in the PLO tournament today, got knocked out early, had 2 pair, nut flush draw and a gut shot nut straight draw, didn't get there obviously. The first dealer was a bit lost, she couldn't explain herself well and was confusing the table, 2nd guy was very good even though he didn't let me hit one of my 16 outs.
Asked to see Mike Smith to say hello, was told he was off already, what do you have teacher hours?

How many entries did the tourney have? Was it a decent structure?

100 points is $1.00. Whatever balance players have prior to July 1 they can still redeem according to the previous policy.

I would like to have been there and I am usually in on Saturday but yesterday I was out chasing a little white ball for Charity.

Sorry about the 16 outer

Can still redeem, as in the points expire on July 1? Or can still redeem but they don't apply to the previous comp rules post-July 1?

I have 5000+ pts. That's a lot of buffets and Yuenglings.
