Repeat from 2 years ago in case anyone new has info: anyone know anything about the 30/60 stud game that goes on Fridays?

In particular I wonder if it's like a private game. If I show up early and either blow thru $600 in half an hour or win enough to stay in the game, am I going to get dirty looks because I'm an intruder in "their" game?

Also curious if I'd be the fish against 7 sharps.

You won’t have a problem getting in the game. I’ve never played but from what I understand it’s very beatable

Thinking about staying for the ND/Louisville game. I expect games will be good? How's the sportsbook?

As of Oct 1, they will start spreading $1/$3 NL, $100-$500 buy-in, and will no longer spread $1/$2 NL.

Do you all think with club jaqk opening soon in Louisville it will hurt ceaser's poker room at all?

I think club jaqk is rake free, but you pay $10/hr for cash games.

For tourneys it looks like the house gets 19% (16% in "seat rental" and 3% for the non-dealing staff) in addition to the dealers get $10 so for a $200 tourney 77% goes into the pot.

It depends on your assumptions on how many pots you win a hour plus how much free food you will eat at club jaqk, but it seems like the club is more expensive for both cash and tourneys.

Depends on a lot. Location isn't great and quasi legality isn't great. 10$ per hour seems fine, I prefer time rake generally.

Game structures changing (2/5 is now full MTS) has destroyed the 2/5 games. No more than 2 tables will go on a weekend. Floors refuse to open 5/10 lists since that game will mostly comprise of players already playing 2/5. The 1/3 400cap has really altered the player pool that is willing to play 2/5.

Game structures should really be revised so there's less overlap in game sizes:

1/3 100-400 1/2 MTS
2/5 400-1500 1/2 MTS
5/10 1000-2500 MTS

The rake (6+2) is also pretty abysmal which is why I wish 5/10 would go more often as they don't take promo.

I would say the rake is more a deterrent than the structure for me. For a guy who only plays on the weekend the rake + promo are brutal as there seems to be no promotions on the weekend so rake + promo = rake to me.

Yep the rake is just brutal. Running 5/10 or 2/5 as a time game would help a lot.

The 2/5 went back to match half the stack. People do not seem happy about this.
