I tried, but couldn't upload the schedule. All tourneys at HSI are re entry. The midwest region is March 5-15. I think the main got about 150 last year ($785ish). The schedule is on Facebook on the HSI Poker page.
Not many options close by if not staying at casino. There are two hotels in new albany that are closest but they are a 100 a night. There are lot of hotels in louiville to choose from
If I was coming from out of town I'd stay at the horseshoe or find a hotel in downtown Louisville. In downtown Louisville I'd stay at the Hilton Garden Inn or another hotel around it.
PS: I am biased because I was born and raised in Louisville.
Thanks nate and bahbah. I booked the Horseshoe so I can avoid the expense of a rental car. Don't know if I will be able to make it, but if I do I'll be set.
They posted the last series' buyins' in the "A + B" format (where A is money going to the pot and B is rake) and everyone loved it so now we are back to the format of listing every tourney as the total buyin.
Part of me wants to call them every day and ask them how much of each buyin goes to the pot while acting like I am writing them all down then going back over each buyin and asking how much goes to the casino until the person hangs up on me.
Isn't the juice in the Denny Crum typically higher than other tourney series due to some money from each entry going to his foundation? I don't care what business it is, if your trying to hide things from your customers, that's never going to go over well.

10% of the prize pool goes to the foundation. I dont think any of the rake goes to the foundation.
Have they mentioned what the circuit schedule is going to look like yet? I know the room/ floor knows it before anyone else so I figured I would ask. Sometimes local players will know what the schedule will look like before everyone else.
