Being Easter it was about 1/2 normal. 40 people I think, usually there are 80 +/-. Paid a tick over 1k.

Re: Horseshoe Southern Indiana (Elizabeth, IN)

So does the 2/5 run on the regular on Wednesday? Is it a juicy game? Also, will the 5/10 still run on Fridays with the wsop going on?

Re: Horseshoe Southern Indiana (Elizabeth, IN)

Was out at the casino the last two days and this morning, the 14th, around ~11:30 there was a cash game hand that happened that seemed crazy.

I was not in this game and was simply waiting for the tourny to start up and was playing on my phone. However I was close enough to see and hear basically everything that happened.

There was a 1-2 NL game running that likely had been running all night as it was the only cash game going when I came down to the poker room. There was a kid, likely in his 20s, who had a big stack ~1800 and had all his chips positioned to spell out "LOL". He took a picture of his chips, I was kinda hoping he would post on 2p2 so who knows. The hand in question involves him however.

Normal NL hand raise to x preflop bunch of callers flop is XXX, won't be relevant. Certain player bets, LOL guy raises, folds around the table, initial player 3 bets AI, LOL guy goes into the tank. Original bettor had ~$400 behind. LOL guy says something, the dealer who is a sweet black lady, older, curly hair, wears glasses idk her name but shes dealt some tables I've been at recently, struck me as competent and friendly. Maybe dealt 50 hands total while I was at her table fwiw. She hears what LOL kid says and announces "All in and a call" and runs the board out. After the river has been dealt LOL man says he did not call what so ever beyond that the 3 people sitting around him say they don't believe he said call or all in or anything of that nature. He ends up losing the hand. The floor comes over and they have a 5-8 min discussion on wtf just happened. I'm basically forced away from the table while this is going on. Some other guy stands close enough to hear what is happening says the floor rules that he does not have to pay the alleged call but he, LOL guy, must quit the game. Which seems insane to me but next thing I see is LOL dude racking his chips and going to the cage. So he keeps the chips but is kicked off the table, IDK what was said between him and the floor during the discussion of what happened, but the only time anyone really raised their voice was towards the end.

This ruling, tho I don't have complete information on what happened, seems super crazy.

I've been critical in the past of the dealer that I think you are talking about. It wouldn't surprise me if the player didn't announce a call.

However, I don't like giving the kid a freeroll in a pot this size.

What did the floor look like?

Re: Horseshoe Southern Indiana (Elizabeth, IN)

Yesterday it was a middle aged man full beard I believe either cut super short or bald head. He weighed 245ish, not in shape.

The dealer has a very unique tone of voice and cadence of announcing action. Like you hear her voice and i'd be obvious who it is.

Was rly hoping the LOL guy was a 2p2er as he ran off after the hand and I hand no chance to ask him about anything.

Are you going to post this ruling in Brick and mortar?

Do you want me to?

This is brick and mortar?

I don't usually visit this forum as I don't play live very often. But feel free if you want to post this elsewhere.

Does anyone know when the schedule for the circuit usually comes out?

Yeah, I don't play live anywhere near enough to be an expert on situations like that but kicking the guy to me seemed crazy.

Do you still play up there at all fluke?

Re: Horseshoe Southern Indiana (Elizabeth, IN)

Might pm you the next time we go. Usually go and play table games with my GF, but she always sleeps forever so I get just enough free time to play in a tourny. Tho I'd like to play cash games obv, tho the games I'm good at never run as in limit O8 or stud8, just never have the time and I am more concerned with her having a good time.

Admittedly never met a 2p2er irl, even tho I have a couple of good friends I've met on here.

Also going to blind guess I'm younger? 27.

The dealer in question is Patty. Very competent dealer. She's dealt me many times. Including the tourney on Sunday.

I think Patty is shaky. Her inability to reach across the table seems to preoccupy her. I think she is so focused on that she loses track of the action.

I've seen her treat players rudely that didn't assist her in pulling in bets or moving the button. She sometimes doesn't ask for help...she just raps the table until they figure out what she wants.

She also doesn't fully understand the oversized chip rule and what raise size is needed on an all in to reopen the betting.

If I am not mistaken, the dealers are in a union which makes getting rid of the bad ones that much harder as the union. It depends on what the company and union agreed to in their bargaining agreement. Sent from my SPH-D700 using 2+2 Forums

Re: Horseshoe Southern Indiana (Elizabeth, IN)

I've never experienced that with her. My experience is limited to the tournament tables though. By far the worst dealer in the place is the bleach blonde oriental woman. I got up and walked out of a 180 sng during last years circuit event when they put her on the table.

Tony is my favorite dealer in the building.

All I know is there used to be, or still is maybe?, a dealer who looked dead on like Bill Goldberg. That guy was great, not as a dealer, but as a Goldberg impersonator. I mean he didn't have to try at all.

Also I think he was a Buffalo Bills fan which obv makes me like him more.

And I would have never guessed they had/have a union at a casino.

Yeah he still works there (or he did a month ago or whenever I was there last) and is one of the best dealers there, IMO. He is quick, efficient, friendly, and never loses control of his table.

Did he actually do a Goldberg impersonation or are you just saying he looks like him?

Re: Horseshoe Southern Indiana (Elizabeth, IN)

I wish casinos would list tourney buyins like "210+20" or "200+30" instead of "230". It is so frustrating to not know the rake you are potentially paying to get in a tourney. Who is the best person to bitch to at HSI to get this changed on their tourney schedules?
