Are they still running high hand promo?

Y...they have their Summer Warmup this and next weekend....also, they've had a bunch of new dealers start this weekend, so maybe we'll start seeing some improvement on the wait lists.

Hi, I am considering playing in the upcoming WSOP Satellite. If I win a seat to the main event, do I need to fill out tax paperwork?

Don't bother going today. Only 3 cash game tables running due to wsop tournaments. Lists are 10-20 deep at 10:30 am with no hope of getting a seat. Bummer.

Others may know better, but typically with any 'prize' valued at $5K or more above the BI you would need to fill out some paperwork. But I've also seen when it comes to WSOP/MSPT/HPT 'sponsored' events that they don't do any paperwork. Might be better to call the room ... 219-473-6065 is the last number I have for them. GL

How dead is this room during WSOP? I prefer the mix game, but have only been playing it a little lately. Will this be basically dead during WSOP? I assume those players are the ones most likely to head out to Vegas for weeks.

Up here now, only waited 5 minutes.. running well currently..2hrs of play, up $350 after turning two pair(AQ) that also bought in a flush to lose a 160ish pot

Cashed out for 865..+715 for the 4.5hr session... lost about 200 total on two separate hands when I flopped open ended straight flush draws.

There shouldn't be any waitlist issues because WSOP is going on. This is the slow time of the year for any poker room that is located outside of Vegas.

Anyone know what time the WSOP satellite lasted until last night?

I think it lasted fairly late (I remember some lady coming by my table talking to another player about her finish and she split/played for the seat HU); cant remember exact time but it felt late-ish; maybe 11pm?

ICYMI - the toll at the Westpoint toll plaza, if you are using a transponder, went from 50¢ to over $2 a few days ago. This is the one just south of the casino on I-90 to/from the east.

My wife said something about rates changing and no discounts for iPass users anymore. I'm usually coming from I-94 anyway so I take the 'slow' well camera protected routes North from there. GL

I'm pretty sure only 1 seat and cash to 2nd place. Pathetic turnout

What is the payout structure? Top 10% of entrants get a ticket? So last week entrants were 14 or less?

I think 34 entrants. package was for like 12K or 12.5K - and the leftover cash went to 2nd place.

just a heads-up, they cut the HH prize payouts by about 40% (top prize is now $1,300 vs the previous level of $2,100.) not the end of the world, but for all your folks out in LV just an FYI coming back.

^^^Really? The promo fund probably has millions in it, even though they keep giving it to tournament players.

yea, I dont get it either - at first I thought maybe it is going through the full rotation faster than they anticipated, but no way that $23.1k/round is making that big of a difference in the drop. musta been the plan all along I would venture.

Thanks for being a gracious host Saturday night! Played some 2-5 before getting into the 5-10. I normally would've never dreamed of leaving the 2-5 table I was at but I wanted to play some 5-10 since I don't get it much in my area.

I felt all 3 tables I played at were 'playable' for me. Interesting contrast of 3-bets PF between 2-5 and 5-10. In the 'back' room almost all 3-bets ended up in HU Flops but not even close at 2-5. It's almost like a 3-bet in 2-5 is a 'how dare you' challenge!

I got there around 8 PM or so and sat right down at 2-5 and really never saw any of the lists get out of control. Maybe around 11-12 they were calling a lot of names.

Looked to me like the 'high hand' board only had 1 winner so far .. not sure how that worked or when it 'starts' for the day but once I was in the 'back' room you lose contact with most of the room!

On a side note ... Aladdin at The Palace Theater was excellent. We were in row H left side in the middle of the row and although I couldn't see a small portion of the stage my girls still had an awesome time ... they were closer to the center. GL
