IME, your best shot at playing small stakes mixed is by networking your way into a home game. I've personally seen 5/10 and 6/12 HORSE go at the Shoe, but it's very rare.

Play the draws for sure, if you're gonna play a mix.

Anyone know if its true that the shoe rakes 30 percent plus on their daily tournaments?

High rake on a daily wouldn't surprise me ... but I think they have guarantees on most of them as well, which you wont find at most casinos. GL

Sadly the structure sheets don't advertise the breakdown of principle vs. rake, but it is common knowledge that low-buy-in tournaments are a rake trap pretty much everywhere. Not unique to the Horseshoe.

I've played 6/12 HORSE there twice, but both were over a year ago. Also, the structure of the game makes the stud games play bigger than the flop games, which wasn't ideal.

Anyone know if all wsopc events at Hammond will be re entry? Or are all that are not labeled "re entry" freezeout? Thanks

WSOPc event schedules are pretty much mirrored from site to site, so I would imagine that there aren't any typos and you can take it at face value.

What I do remember from before is that they don't announce if they are going to hold sattys into 'any' events until just a few days before the event starts. I imagine they would find a way to accommodate a 1-table SnG if all the players walked up but anything else is on a shorter leash. GL

I wasn't questioning whether the schedule or structure sheet was correct or not, I was saying that the schedule does not say "freezeout" nor does it say
"re entry" for the majority of events. And furthermore, there are no posted structure sheets stating this either. The only structure sheets are the wsopc ones on wsop.com. Again, some stops don't have anything labeled and are unlimited re entry.

More so just looking to see if they had done it in previous years from someone who had played say the horse tournament, re entry?

Per the Poker Room this morning .. 219-473-6065 .. In the past 'most' events have been re-entry but WSOPc was going to make some changes this year limited them. Even though 'a' Hammond schedule is posted at WSOP.com it apparently is not official as of yet and there is no timeline as to when an official schedule will come out. They were aware of the wording on the unofficial schedule as to the re-entries but again stated that nothing is official as of today.

This is strange to me since there are points/rings up for grabs at all the venues and the series 'year' has already started. It's important to the players who follow the circuit to know how they want to attack their points for the year. You may want to look into the Foxwoods schedule that is ongoing to see if their schedule differs from the posted Hammond listing.

I'm sure the venues 'want' the re-entry options (easy money, especially if their cash room is full anyway) but there has been plenty of discussion about locals/amatuers 'not' entering some tournaments if they feel the regs will just keep firing bullets. GL

Thanks for the post, this is exactly what I'm asking. And yes very odd and frustrating. Was considering making this trip for the first time if it is re entry, andnot if it is not. The circuit schedule that is out for Seminole hard rock is how every schedule should be listed. It says every single event as either re entry, single re entry, or feeezeout. Don't know why this would be difficult to do for every schedule.
