Typically omaha 8, triple draw, one or two stud variants and two or three badugi variants.

It varies some, by player vote at start of the game.

Last Friday was: stud, stud8, o8, BigO8, badugi, badeucy, 2-7(triple draw), and holdem.

Heading to chicago for work and would like to put in solid 5-6 hours every day after work. Reaching on 13th and leaving on 18th i think, couple of questions

a) information of shuttles from downtown seems outdated, can some one tell me a bit about shuttles from downtown and last shuttle back to downtown? Also, if i miss that... is it pretty easy to get a cab? I don't plan on renting a car since my hotel is next door to my work place.

b) is it pretty easy to get a 2/5 seat in NLHE?

c) Any other card room that's closer than this from downtown chicago?

I really dont know about the shuttle. But u will no problem getting a 2/5 seat list will be longer fri and sat. This is by far the closest room to the loop.if u miss the shuttle u should have no problem getting a uber from there.

Pretty sure the shuttle info is not outdated, the schedule on the Horseshoe website is still the real schedule.

The Shuttle Info is accurate on their website. The shuttles with the most options are the one that leaves from Chinatown and the one that leaves near Wrigley Field.

If you want to play after work downtown, I would strongly suggest taking the red line to Chinatown shuttle, they both run all night

I travel to Chicago for work a lot, and do to laziness and wanting to maximize poker time I invariably Uber from Chicago (Millennium Park area) to and from HH. Ride is about 30 minutes give or take depending on traffic and is about $30-40. Taking an actual cab rather than an Uber is materially more expensive. Usually eat in the city and leave Chicago around 7 PM to avoid most of rush hour. Never had a problem getting an Uber back from HH even pretty late at night (1 or 2 AM).

For 2/5 I also like the Rockford charitable games north of the city. Similar ride. They close around midnight and have less game selection, but I think they make up for it by allowing you to buy in to match the deepest stack, so the 2/5 game gets very, very deep very quickly. Last time I was there people were buying in for $1500 at a 2/5 game.

The promo hands have already cycled almost all the way through again. Only royal flush in clubs remained as of about 3am this morning.

Also noticed a few new dealers and lower wait times recently. Maybe things are improving?

Also does anyone know if horseshoe can kick out players for slowing down the game and being annoying that 1-2 player that calls himself the mayor that walks around acts like he owns the place certainly slows down the game and is super annoying

Saw an incident last week where seat 6 bet 40 on the flop, seat 7 raises to 90, and seat 6 throws in a black chip without saying anything. Dealer announces raise and seat 6 insists it's a call. They argue for a while about the oversized chip rule before calling the floor. Floor comes over and gives the dealer the most nasty stare.

That dealer learned about the 1 chip call rule today.

It's their room, they can ask you to act and/or leave in accordance to their wishes. It has the same politics as rulings ... regs get the longer leash. GL

I play with this guy prolly two three times a week but everytime the nutsetter wins a pot wants the dealer to color up two dollar chips to white, if he wins a green chip wants that colored down. Will have about 5 white chips throws in a red and says I want all white back. Just seems like all of this is slowing down the game, lastly he can't walk and chew gum action will be on him and he will continue talking until he's done and then look at his cards.
