You can call in for big games (5/10+?), so that might buy you up to an hour

Thanks all. Are there other places in or around Chicago I should consider playing? Assume WSOP Circuit is a Horseshoe only thing. I'm staying near Millennium Park. On prior trips I've just taken an uber to Horseshoe ($35 or so), played 2/5, never waited long for a seat and had a good time, but willing to go somewhere else at a similar distance if I could get a seat quicker and play 2/5. Couldn't find a general Chicago thread, so apologies if this is the wrong place for this question.

Certainly do not want to sit around my hotel room when I could play poker!

What are you looking to play? At the 1/2 or 1/3 level I don't think you can go wrong at any of those places. When you start to look at the higher stakes then you may need to do a little scouting to make sure the game you are looking for is running.

I would play the 'shoe much more often if it were closer just because the player pool is much deeper, but you may find that the other two locations are a little more 'list' friendly.
