I don't live in the area anymore but my family still does, and I try to make it down to play whenever I visit. Does anyone know if the 6/12 Omaha 8 game has a kill? Because if it does, that would make the rake a lot easier to stomach.

if you do try to get a PLO game going, be sure to ask the floor to put an interest list up on the games board so everyone can see it.

There is a kill in the O8 game.

Also, the 4/8 O8 game has a half kill in it. For you guys interested in PLO, when would you be at the shoe? It's a lot easier if we just show up with five or six that want to play rather than all of us trying to get a game going independently.

You may have a better chance at a full table if you make it a mixed game, PLO/NLH.

This also has the benefit of attracting the people who just love to gamble, but aren't experienced with PLO. It will make them feel comfortable that they can play reasonably well half of the time.

You should be able to grind out a nice profit. It may also benefit in the game being spread more consistently.

Hopefully the floor realizes this also, and would be willing to spread it this way. The best times to try and get this game going are Friday and Saturday evenings,obviously.

I'll be there around 9AM to sign up for the $40 donkament. I'll put a list up then. It will probably begin to fill up around 11AM (around the time people start getting knocked out of the tournament). I'd guess if you guys showed up at 10:30ish the game would be running by 11:30AM.

Yeah, but they do everything as 1/3 so that they can squeeze a little more rake on the flop if the hand ends there. It was 1/2 until a couple years ago. They might make an exception since it's PLO and the pots are going to be decent anyway, but who knows.

They will do pretty much whatever you ask them to do if you are basically single handedly putting together a rake paying table for them.
