They were about to start a new 1/3 table at 12:30 this afternoon.

Had told players what table it would be so ppl had begun to sit despite no dealer being in the box yet. One player got up and left his chips - then a few mins lateranother guy comes up and grabs the chips.

I aaked "are those your chips?" he put them back down acted confused and claimed he had a stack of chips somewhere. He quietly wanders out of the poker room with no chips and clearly was attempting to steal.

Be safe - use common sense

And look out for your fellow player like Kyle did. Be willing to speak up when you see something that isn't right.

What did the floor/security say when you informed them of the attempted theft?

I am kinda surprised reading this thread how much people are not a fan of the poker room. I have been playing for about a year now since I have moved and am overall a pretty big fan. It was annoying when they cut the comps but now they are equal to everywhere else, which sucks but not a reason I would stop playing. The floor is sometimes grumpy and I am pretty sure rules change depending on who is on the floor, which is pretty terrible. I do however love how bright the room is and the vast majority of the dealers are great. Most importantly the games (especially the 1/3 game) are amazing. Far better than the few times I was at live even with the table selection. I have never played in a better 1/3 game in my life.

Also awesome job to the guy/girl who prevented the obvious attempt at theft.

Floor was informed - upon giving description of individual the dealer about to start the game talked quietly to the supervisor. Believe he indicated the guy in question was railbirding another game he just came from for some time in an awkward fashion (talking to no one - standing behind a player he didn't appear to be familar with, etc.)

Saw the attempted taker of the chips wander into the poker room a couple hours later just to use the cashier.

I don't want to speculate if any possible action was taken - since any potential action would happen away from where I was.

Any tips on decent deals/what's good for relatively healthy food for horseshoe? Are stuff off the poker menu any decent?

I am quite new and have only ate at the guy fieri sit down place and Lenny's deli. Both were just ok at best and overpriced for what I got.

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

Pretty much everywhere is at least pretty good tastewise. Not a big fan of the BBQ place and know not many are, but its still not awful.

As far as healthy options im not too sure. I guess your best bet would be sushi or something similar from Ruby 8. Id highly recommend eating there or picking it up yourself instead of ordering it off the poker menu tho. Probably a bit overpriced as well but not awful.

Power went out. And the AC is the last thing that's gonna come back on. I'm currently playing above my limits in a sauna. Waiting on my spirit animal to give me some hands

"STARTING AUGUST 29, 2016

You asked for an easier way to redeem your free table play offers so here it is.

Simply swipe your Total Rewards® card at any DirectBet Promotional Kiosk to receive your DirectBet coupon which can be redeemed directly at the table game exactly like a promotional chip.

No more waiting in line at the cashier, just one swipe and you are in the action."

hopefully there will still be the option to get promo chips instead of this DirectBet crap.
I want to be able to break down my chips into smaller denominations.

note:
whenever a company says "customers asked for it," I interpret that as a marketing ploy and the customer is actually getting the shaft.

maybe I'm cynical and directbet allows you to print out the vouchers in whatever denomination you want?

This is interesting. I'm curious as to if these "coupons" will have an expiration date forcing the player to use or lose and even in some cases like Friday/Saturday to have to front some cash to meet the table minimum

They do this for AC casinos. You can get direct coupons in lower denominations, but don't know if you can go all the way down to 5. Easier for them obviously...no need to maintain promo chips. Direct bet vouchers I think expire within a couple days.

Wouldn't breakdown for me.
And it expires the same day u get it.

It's direct bet only. No more promo chips.
Don't even know if u can break down promo chips at the cage anymore

This is a fantastic development. I hated having to wait in line at the cage to get promotional chips. Finally HB gets something right.

I disagree. I stop by very frequently and pick up my chips. (even on days where I wasn't planning on stopping in). I come on off-peak times and haven't experienced a long wait, so maybe I'm biased.

I will collect them for a month or so and then come by and play out the promo chips and grab lunch with a friend who does the same. I am less likely to come and pick them up and use them for 1 quick bet.

However, this may be the end goal and I would guess the hoarding of chips in this manner contributed to the decision.
