BRAVO says they're running high hand all of this weekend basically. Nice to see them finally running a good promo. Hopefully this will bring the fishy out!
Anyone know when the $300 Knockout finished up last night? I busted 6 hours in and there were still over 60 people left and I was easily the shortest stack at my table w/ 13BB.
I was pretty surprised at how gradual the blind jumps were for a single day tournament. Combined with a large field (232) and that had to be a brutally long day for the FT.
Was at neighboring table. Quad 3s was "The Celebrity". Got up and ranted...I knew this would happen. Never playing here again. At least he didn't say "do you know who I am?" Oh yeah, He won a big side pot.
Heading on a road trip from NJ to Chicago in October. This is a logical place to stop along the way. I haven't seen any chatter in here since 2016 :-( Is it worth even stopping here to put in a few hours in the evening?
You'll probably find a little more talk about it in the Detroit thread. Much more active player base as far as posting on 2+2, and it's close enough that a lot of us head down to Toledo semi-regularly (same distance as the Detroit Casinos for me).
Nice enough casino. OK food. Decently action and bad players.
No hotel though, so you'll have to stay somewhere else. Never bothered staying down there so I can't offer any recommendations.
I'm sure Google will tell you this, but based on experience Morris County (think Exit 35 or so) to Ann Arbor MI will take you 9 hours with quick male-like stops. A touch under an hour to get from Toledo to Ann Arbor. So that's a great place to take a break. No reason to deal with the BS that is Chicago after a 12 hour drive.

Where does Gazi get his money? I have been playing here for a few months now and this man consistently dusts off $1,000 plus every time. I’ve never seen him win. Never. There are so many guys doing this I’m guessing some of the younger ones just have meth money. Like the guy who wears Ohio state jerseys all the time. Plays every single hand no matter what. Overplays them. He just punts and punts and punts. Or the old black guy with the cane, I believe his name is Dave. He will drop 2-3 buys ins at 1-3, then go lose more at 2-5. Mins you, im not complaining, but most of these guys do it look like they have even the sums of money they give away each week.
Hey all in Toledo...does anyone have any info on the "poker clubs" such as Reserve and how the membership works (cost, etc)? I didn't see anything on here specific for it, so curious about it. Looks like they offer rakeless cash games and quite the offering of various tournaments. Wanted to know if detroit area folk should check it out and if its worthwhile if only going there occasionally.
It makes me sad to post the truth about this not a poker room. Toledo use to have an actual room but it was moved to an area in the open with fake shrubs around it. Promotions are almost nothing and you wait a long time to play. Best thing is to use the Bravo app and check in at least an hour ahead of time so you don’t wait as long to play. Staff is friendly and they try to make the best of a poor situation. It was much better years ago when they were in an actual room and had enough dealers to have tables open. Sadly this casino makes it clear that poker is not anything they value. Toledo casino is a slots playing location and all the rest is 2nd and poker is about 3rd on their list of priority.
