Apparently there's a $150 PLO tournament running Monday, March 21st. Anyone here going to be playing it? Interested to see if it can get any traction.

Great to see Chris Moneymaker and Bill Bruce coming to town for a great set of tournaments.

Oh no wait, never mind

Considering entering the $550 tournament tomorrow. Does anyone have info on the tournament? Is there add on cost and what is the typical number of people in these $500 multi day tournaments?

Also anyone know what amount goes to the prize pool (I would assume $500 to prize pool but Charlestown WV Hollywood is **** and their $260 tournament only puts 76% towards prize pool "complete scam imo")

Did you actually look at the web site?

$550 fee ($490 prize pool + $45 admin fee & $15 dealer appreciation)

I haven't been out there for a while and was thinking about it tonight. So first I checked Bravo.

Every table filled and almost a hundred on the waiting list? (Although I'm sure some are on multiple lists.) Then I saw under promotions "High Hand Jackpot-Saturday, June 4 a. $500 per hour from 12 pm - 10 pm." So I guess they now know how to fill the room!

10/10 game ran last night and was extra juicy. Nice to run hot in the biggest game ever to go off in this place.😃

OK, here is the issue posted agin, with names removed to protect privacy:

I was playing 1-2 no limit at Hollywood Casino at Penn National on Saturday during the high hand promotion. It was the final hour of the promotion and the prize was $1000. With just a few seconds left on the clock, I tabled a straight flush, which was the highest hand of the hour. The clock on the wall was five seconds away from zero, and my entire table, including the dealer, saw that the clock had not reached zero. To my disbelief, the floor came over and told me that since the high hand was not verified before the end of the hour, that they would not be paying me anything at all. I was shocked and really felt cheated. I feel that I earned the high hand promotion, but ended up going home empty-handed. I followed up with one of the shift managers at the casino today. He reviewed my complaint and claims that the hand ended at 4 seconds past 10:00 PM. This is incorrect, obviously. He did apologize and offered me a steak dinner as compensation. This is not even close to the $1000 I lost out on, as especially worthless to me, as I live 120 miles away.

Did anyone go to that discussion night they had on how to improve the poker room? It was near the end of June. I've seen 0 changes since then.

Yeah, I was there, too. Hopefully with the new structures starting next month it helps turn things around.

I'm considering playing a 11:15am tournament this week. I'll be in the area for the day, but I haven't played there in four years and don't want to show up and find out they don't have enough to start. Anyone have any information?

About a month ago they added daytime tourneys on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Struggled to get them to fill.

Now they are giving away 10 seats on Mondays for Tuesdays Tourney and 10 seats on Wednesdays for Thursdays Tourney. Guarantee to go as 10 are in.

Thumbs up on trying to improve.

$1 per hour but require minimum of 50 hrs. So if you only put in 30-40 hrs and want to use it to paid for food is no bueno.

The High Hang promotion was much better run yesterday than in times past. They now have all dealers press their call buttons on their last hand of the hour to check if anything beats the current high hand.
