Hard to say, earlier in the day, wait might not be too bad. They only had 8 or 9 tables going when I got there. Around 1 or so all the tables were going, in the evening players were waiting 2-3 hours or more.

If you are willing to play higher, you will get in faster. NL5/10 almost broke around 4ish yesterday, so you wouldn't have had to wait at all for that game.

I want to get an idea when/if it's worth it to go on the weekends, since I expect weekends to be pretty consistent (mornings vs. afternoons vs. evenings). For now, I assume that mornings will be the only feasible time during the weekends.

We all have to hope that the other table games remain strong & steady for the next couple months. Come on, let's get that expansion!!!
I arrived at 9:30 Sarurday morning to a 7 person waiting list on 1/2, 5 names on 2/5 (table wasn't open yet), and they had 5/10 nl and up to 10/20 limit listed. I gave them my cell and an hour past with no call so walked back and saw my name wasn't on list. They said they called but obv not. They got me right in with others waiting there. Left around noon with 26 names on 1/2 and less on all others. So yeah, get there before 9 if you don't want to wait.

They also said an expansion is in the works with a cage. It's silly that they drop the rake but not the cash, they're doing it all backwards. They also have small chip trays that they are filling every hour with 1's because of the drop.

The one dealer we had was horrible, I think it was his first day, but at least 2 were very good (Mark & Brandon). Also, the floor staff Saturday night was pretty good, much better than the day shift.

Overall, it was a very good experience.
Which table were you at? (This is Brandon)

The room is brand new. They are doing one hell of a job right now keeping it going day by day and growing by customer demands. It's a new casino... not everything will be perfect like AC or Vegas. You will see how it all is in a few months.

They rotate on a daily basis say one day i will have poker, the next i may have BJ and the next I may have RO. It is different every week/day.

Were you the "older" (not that old but oldest at the table) gentlemen with the fairly big stack. I was playing 2/5 Saturday afternoon for about three hours. I was the big guy with a Titleist hat on in the three seat.

I can't remember if they had two 2/5 games going yesterday so I don't know if I am talking about the same table as you.

Is table 9 about half way to the back on the left if you are walking from the front desk toward the back of the room?

I was told today that poker players are not getting any comps for poker play.

One of the floor guys also confirmed that two more tables are going in this week.

I played 2/5 for about 6 hours this afternoon. Got to the room around 11ish and probably waited about 10-15min just to get my name on the list. They had just started a 2/5 game and I was 2nd on the list. Other games were all 1/2NL and one 1-5 stud.

It only took me about 15 min to get onto the table. The play was pretty much as I expected. The lists were eventually 35+ deep for 1/2 and 20+ deep for 2/5, but were much smaller when I left around 6pm.

The dealer we had for most of the day was better than I had expected. TBH the biggest issue (running the game) all day was keeping white's in the tray. The first time the floor brought $40 worth when we ran out. Next, they at least brought $100. They weren't allowing anyone to buy in at the table, so they should have had at least 3 rows of whites. This seems like a pretty obvious thing to do.

The $6 rake is bad enough, but what's even worse is raking non-flop pots. This is ridiculous! In all my years and all the places I've played I have only seen this done at the RIO during the WSOP. I think Harrah's are pretty much crooks for doing it too.

Wow

It went real well for me, I almost doubled my buyin, and I played kinda spewy at the beginning.

The dealer we had before Mark, was terrible, the worst I ever saw. So we were very happy when Mark said he would be there for the rest of his shift.

I wonder if that's just referring to the eventual building expansion, or if there is some sort of poker room expansion planned in the meantime.

While I hope it's the latter, I'm not sure where else they could go. There's an entrance/walkway on the one side, and the "food court" on another side.

I was there Friday night. Got to the poker room about 6:30 to play 1-2 NL, 42 people on the waiting list. Put name on list for 2-5 as well. 20 people on that list. Took our cell #'s and said we would get a text once our name was up. Worked out cause we were hungry so headed upstairs to the sportsbar. After eating and drinking a couple beers headed back down about 7:40. At this time we were 7th & 8th on the 1-2 list, barely moved on 2-5 Took a tour of casino and at 8:00 our names were up for 1-2.
Bought in for $100 (per the lady at the counter, this was the max) bought in immediately for another hundred when the dealer said $200 was the max.
Had players of all skill level at the table. Dealers were a little slow. Couldn't talk and deal at the same time. I am sure with more table time they will get better. Once or twice there was a misdeal, usually due to someone not being at their seat. Overall for the first weekend and no/very limited formal dealing experience it wasn't bad.
I was surpised to see a $6 rake. Seems kind of steep when I have to pay $4 for a Coors Light.
Keeping the tables full was a bit of a chore. There were 10-20 minute windows where we had an open seat if not two. When the wait list is at 96 people an open seat is unacceptable. Again, I chalk this up to the newness but it is something they need to fix quickly.
I made $150 for about 6 hours. There weren't too many large pots so I was happy with that when I analyzed the play on my drive home. I must say that drive was much, much better than the drive from AC.
I will def be back. Hopefully sooner than later.

LOL Donkaments.

It isn't the end of the world bro. They will probably have tournaments after the expansion next year. The room is no where near big enough to have tournaments right now.

no cash for now, I think they're still gaging interest before running sit n goes and whatnot. The 12 tables fill up pretty quickly as it is, so there's no shortage of action for cash games. That said, there are still many (quirks?) problems with how the card room runs. I'm sure once the card room is managed competently and staffed by solid dealers, then it'd be more appealing to run tourneys.

and I (and many others) would like to know how sweet the comps ARE going to be considering we're paying $6/hand!

There will be NONE if what one of the dealers told me on Sunday is accurate. He allegedly had it from someone very high up in management.

Can't be true.* Putting in the Bravo system and then not offering any comps would officially be the stupidest thing they have done. Bravo isn't free and the way it is rationalized as an expense is the tighter monitoring of comps to players including not providing them when they are away from the table.

*Of course, would it really surprise anyone if it was?

There will most likely be a comp system. Don't believe what the dealers say. Half of them arent even in poker most of the time.

How do you run tournaments in a poker room with 12 tables full of cash players and 60 people waiting everyday? What's the point? To get more cash players for after the tournament?
