Heard from a friend today that the $1-2 BI cap was being raised to $300 within a week or two. Can anyone confirm?

I haven'tbeen up to HP in a few weeks and was thinking about taking a off from work and heading up. So what would be running during the day - just 1/2 nl? Any limit games? Has anyone seen Omaha at anytime? I haven't checked the website lately - any news on MTT's?

I heard one of the floormen saying they are going to start 100+25 Tournaments on Wed & Thurs nights. I don't when they are starting. He also mentioned they would be running other smaller regular tournaments.

C'mon this has to still be the worst run card room I've ever been in! And even if they replace 3/4 of the dealers, there's still the $6 rake issue. Again enjoy your room and keep us posted on improvements, I want to return, but just can't bring myself to do it.

You obv haven't seen any of my other posts. I said they have improved some things and were moving in the right direction. This was probably the first positive thing I had to say about the room.

I say right direction because prior to this they were not moving in any direction (well maybe the wrong direction).

The 1/2 PLO8 went on Saturday night. There was an Interest list for 1/2 PLO that sat on the board with 6ish people on it for hours. Then around 11PM, a room manager went around the room to every table and asked if anyone else would be interested in playing PLO. Some people he talked to expressed interest in H/L instead of straight PLO, so it ended up getting changed to PLO8. The game got started about midnight and lasted 2, maybe 3 hours. Had 7-10 players most of the time. Max buy-in $300. Max bet UTG, $10. I did not play it, so I have no idea how the game was.

I agree with the earlier posters, 1/2 O8 is just plain dumb.

it's the only casino in the immediate area. what other choice is there? if you play underground games (which was the only choice before they got poker at Hollywood) you'd be used to rake even worse than that.

all these recent changes are a good sign. now they need to fix the "no flop, no drop" rule that is standard around the country but isn't there.

The O8 vs straight Omaha dilemna is frustrating to say the least. I have been trying to get 1/2 PLO going since day one at Penn Nat, but the totally stupid and LOL problem now is that the Bravo system is only programmed to list HILO on the list of interest board, so until they change it in the system (which should take a competent manager about 5 seconds) we have to start the list as "HI/LO" which means that by the time the game there are enough names to start, most of the guys are expecting O8 and won't play straight O -

And then of course, some of the dudes who would prefer straight O get sucked into the O8 game which leaves not enough players to get the straight Omaha PLO game going.

Brian, if you can address that Bravo flaw that would be much appreciated.

BTW, until we get the PLO going here, there is an excellent 1/2 plo at Del Park that plays pretty much every nite, and gets pretty wild on fri and sat eve's.

I'm just happy to hear their getting some other games going beside the 1/2 NL. I'll be happy to play O8. Does it run reguraly now?

Been spending my time at Delaware Park, longer trip but, $2 max rake on limit games 4/8 and above well worth the extra miles!

I was there yesterday and I believe there was a PLO and a PLO Hi/Lo list. I think that's how it was on the board.

Also, yesterday was the first I've been there since they actually implemented the buy-in/straddle changes. One dealer I had didn't know you could straddle, and the dealer at the table behind me had to ask the floor if it was allowed.

These are the things that blow my mind. I knew these changes were going to occur last week yet the dealers have no idea on WEDNESDAY???

Yea they lack communication on the team. I had the same problem when they first started implementing the half rake rule. Some dealers didn't even know it changed and some didn't know how to calculate the half rake. Some were taking it as it still being a max of $6 but based on 5% of total pot and others did it the correct way, still based on 10% but only a max of $3 per pot.

How has the 2/5 game been lately (running? full of nitty regs?)? I'm going to be back in town for christmas and looking to play. I'd rather play 2/5 since I hear the rake is terrible. Wouldn't mind playing 1/2/5 PLO but that is a dream I'm guessing.

Any update from the regs would be appreciated.

2/5 has been a very good mix of all types of players. Still a bit of weaker play, 6 players to flop on 4BB preflop raise, etc. Usually two tables going Friday - Sunday which is good too.

PLO interest has been gaining momentum. Takes off occasionally at 1/2, not very often, but the interest is moving.

Post-holidays should hopefully bring more players, and therefore add more action. Would be nice to play some Omaha.

Straddles and higher buy-in limits now btw.

They didn't allow straddles before? Oh god! I'm not one to straddle all the time but having the ability is nice when you want to try to loosen up a tight table.
