How about something like this for our poker room.

http://twitter.com/HollywoodIND

mohegan suns poker room has a twitter page too
http://twitter.com/MSPDpoker

Could be useful, in generating interest in games/tourneys (when they start) or keeping the room a little more filled. Was there tue am at 9 and I was the only one there. Sat and bs'd with mike the dealer for 40 minutes before we had other people sit down.

I've heard of some casinos doing promotions during slow times, to encourage people to come in. Such as "reduced rake till X o'clock", high-hand jackpots, $100 prize for "Aces Cracked", etc.

The chances of anything cool like that are between slim and none, right?

My guess would be somewhere less than NONE.

I would love to play in one if it would ever get going. The only thing I have even seen for a list of interest was a 4-8 limit hi low game. I'm not sure if it ever ran.

Hey Ford and Bdidd, I will play PLO on sunday (or any other day. or nite...). An/one else interested?

Maybe if we get 4 or 5 guys there we can get them to spread it.

Anyone else interested post here and we can try to organize it.

I can't play Sundays, but I would definitely add my name to an interest list if I saw one going for plo. What kind of blinds we talking? Last I heard someone had said that they would only spread 4-8 limit Omaha hi/lo. Am I wrong on this, and who is going to bring the calculator to help some of the dealers out?

That was me that said that about O8 only; when they first opened that was what I was told by Sam (I think it was sam...) anyway, apparently that was incorrect info or someone has changed their mind as i am now hearing that they will indeed spread straight PLO as long as they have a dealer etc.

As for the limit, the interested parties here are talking 1/2.

Hey, does anyone know anything about a private tourny that is held weekly somewhere around here that takes place in some sort of big scrap yard or junkyard?

I heard about this from a couple of different guys and I can't remember the name of the business or town. Bethlehem maybe? It is supposed to be popular well run tourney that attracts like 100 players, friendly, open to everyone.

I think there is a thread for home games, but i thought i would post this here as it is in our and maybe some of the players/posters mite know of it.

By the way, BRANDON, dude, i guess i don't know your screenname (I looked back thru the posts but can't seem to find it) so i couldn't PM you - anyway, this is me so whenever you are ready send any info you about the other game, thnx.

I believe you - you wouldn't need a calculator. Having said that tho - PLO is pretty much no limit after the turn anyway - and most regular live low limit plo players just sort of tacitly agree to estimate the pot to the nearest quarter anyway........

BTW, i am heading to Mt. Airy tomorro if anyone reading here is interested. 2 hr drive from Hershey according to my GPS.

NOTE to anyone from Penn Nat that is reading....YES, I AM DRIVING 2 HRS to play 1/2 or 2/5.......why? because your poker room SUCKS (read this thread if you want to know why...........)

cheers.

Brandon your the best. Good to know, if I see a plo list I'll be sure to add my name. So gamaram have you finally had it? Moving on, have you checked the distance to sands (you wont find it on the gps) or mohegan? I hear they are much better than mt airy. I am thinking of moving my game the extra hour to the sands. At least there you get comped, they only rake 4 and I think there is a bad beat.

I agree Ganaram, disappointing as HCPN is closest to me, as well. I've played at Mt. Airy, not yet at the Sands and not at MSPD. Why not go to the Sands? It's closer than Mt. Airy and has much more activity.

Anyone playing 2/5 yesterday evening, night thru early morning. I managed to get dealt one pocket pair (33) in my first 5.5hrs of play.

There was a very good looking older woman at my table...well until one of the break dealers sat down and literally everything that came out of his mouth was about her being pretty, etc. She left before the regular dealer returned. I'm pretty sure it was due to his comments. So he managed to run her off in less than 20min. It was bad enough that a couple ppl at the table noticed it.

What is being spread at Hollywood lately? I'm hoping to make it up there tomorrow. Any Omaha at all? I saw Mohegan started up SNG's. Any word on Hollywoods plans for SNG's or MTT's?

Played for 10.5 hours today on table 6. Probably the last time I play here. Found out today they rake without a flop, which is lolterrible.

jcs, when i got there today they had 1 3/6 HE, and 4 1/2 NLHE. By the time i left at 1145, it was 10 1/2 NLHE and 2 2/5 NLHE
