Post and say hello if you will be a reg in this room.

I have heard that there will be 12 tables to start.

That's what I heard, I saw the room, it's next to the entrance to the track. I think it looks pretty nice! Nicer than what's developing at the Sands and Mt. Airy.

This is the casino that is closest to me.

I hope to be at least a semi-reg....depends on when I can get a seat. With just 12 tables, weekends could be tough to find a seat. Maybe Sat-Sun early mornings....we'll see.

Is there a date for poker opening? I saw the billboard on the South Bridge saying July 13 table games open.....will that include poker?

I think so. I don't see any reason why poker wouldn't open the same date as the other table games.

It's a little disappointing how little advertising they are doing. I don't have high hopes for the room but it's only about 45 minutes away from me so I will definitely be checking it out. But I suspect those 12 tables will be 9 1/2 NL, 2 2/5 NL and 1 2/4 LHE. As a limit guy, I don't see me driving any distance to play 2/4. We'll see.

Hello,

I stopped by in the spring and they were aiming for July 4th weekend, but now they have it scheduled for July 13th.

http://www.hcpn.com/tablegames/

I don't think the poker room will be finished until later, but hopefully they will have poker tables running on the 13th.

Poker dealers were trained on Hold'em (Limit & NL), 7CS, 1-5 SL, and a brief intro to Omaha. I was told that they will go with the demand....surely 1-2 NL will be most common, but also 2-5 NL, 2-4 FL, and if enough people ask, they can raise the limits.....if they have the demand AND available tables....

Tournaments? who knows....maybe weekdays/mornings...

Almost 100% correct. 9 1/2 NL, 2 2/5 NL, and 1 3/6 LHE

I expect to be a few time a month regular. Looking forward to it.

I think there will be a greater demand for low stakes limit than 1 table.

Yes, there will be greater demand. Much greater demand, but they have 12 tables. So I guess sometimes instead of 9 1/2 NL, 2 2/5 NL, and 1 3/6 LHE, it could be 9 1/2 NL, 1 2/5 NL, and 2 3/6 LHE.

It could be a while before they have tournaments. I thought I read or heard that the Gaming Control Board had not yet given the casinos a set of guidelines to follow to conduct tournaments. Of course it was a while back that I read or heard this. If anyone has updated info on this, please post.

I only know that Mt. Airy is advertising the beginning of tournaments on July 23, pending approval.

So it shouldn't be totally foreign to the PGCB.

I'll be there, though not often. I plan on going there sometime very shortly after they open for some LHE action, then occasionally when I can make it out. I only live an hour away or so, but don't really have a roll to be playing live stakes, mostly will be going for fun, and hoping to rungood a bit and make a few bucks here and there

I'm 11 miles away from HC@PN and definitely be a regular. I am very flexible with my daytime schedule and will do my share of weekdays if they have any action at those times. Retirees? lol

Anyone know if the 'test' day on the 11th is for invitees only?

Was at C-Town Friday morning. The signs are saying Friday July 9th for the opening of the poker room.

If the signs were saying that table games at Hollywood Casino at Penn National were starting July 9th then the PGCB disagrees.

Currently spending some time just outside of Harrisburg close to Hershey amusement park and realized that this casino will be 20 minutes away from me. Unfortunately, I will only be there once or twice since I am here just temporarily.

Does anyone know what the rake will be here? Anything reasonable like 10% $4 max or something stupid?

The way I took his post was that they may have had a sign up at Charles Town about table games coming to Grantville since both properties are owned by Penn National Gaming.

I may be wrong though.

I heard from a dealer in training a few weeks ago it was going to be $6 max rake.

Tyco, you are correct. Rake = 10%, $6 max. last I heard.

Merrell, I'm in Etters myself.....was in YH a few times this spring for my nephews baseball games. I am not a dealer there, but know a guy who went thru training....I'm not sure what he'll be dealing...could be poker, craps...anything....

I've been waiting for this for a while....and my AC comps are just about wiped out...been splurging on the Harrah's buffet the last few trips down just to use the points....
