Best hand jackpot? Wouldn't that be given away daily? Or are you referring to the Bad beat jackpot?

I went yesterday, it was nice. I didn't have any issues with dealers at all. There's a hot dog stand right next to the poker room which is a really cool touch, you can get up and get food without missing a hand. The tables and chairs were really comfortable, it's a vegas quality poker room. It was packed, i recommend calling ahead.

On Friday of opening week there was a 10/20 LHE game that went, and lists for several other bigger games had lots of names; but I too have wondered and posted here about whether the 10/20 game has gone off since then. Anyone?

The 10/20 went thursday, friday, and saturday. Friday I played until about 5 in the morning when i started to fall asleep at the table. The game was unbelievably better than the 3/6 game i was playing while waiting for a seat. Last night the game was not as good but super soft. It only ran until maybe 11:30 or 12. Also, the room manager, i forget his name, was very nice and worked very hard to get this game going and eager to keep it going.

LOL, hardly BFE and the Horseshoe Hammond is highly overated. This location is very close to Cinncinnatti, probably 5 maybe ten minutes from the airport and is hands down a nicer area, although you do have to drive a little to get a tattoo or pawn your watch.

I tried to get 5/10 or 10/20 going last Wednesday, no dice. The 3/6 was crazy soft as I said before so I probably made the same per hour anyways. I can't imagine how easy it was this weekend. There's almost no way to lose in that game, the variance just isn't high enough in limit and anyone with competence is almost guaranteed to win, despite the high rake.

My Trip Report July 4th/ First time there.

Gf- Hey Im going to E-town to see my dad for his birthday you do not have to come.....
Me- JACKPOT! Sat all to my self! Hollywood here I come.

So About half way there I call ahead so I do not have to wait for ever to get a seat. I arrive about 45 min later and I check the list and noticed they forgot to put my name on it, GREAT!!!!, I explain to them and they get me on a new 2-5 NL game. I sit down with 200 and quickly put it in when I flop a Flush against another guys nut Flush! WEE!!!
Reload for 300, and realize this table is full of nits and have a chance to move to the main game, I do. Card dead but still manage to take down a few pots when I am delt QJ on the button, UtG raises to 15, I call and it is 4 handed, Flop K-10-3 rainbow, Everyone checks, I bet 45 and only the raiser calls, Turn is a 8-Check-Check, River is a 9, DING! he fires out 75, and I raise to 175, he tanks for a while flips over 10-10 and calls, NH me.
This next hand was the biggest and wonder if you would call in his spot. I am delt 10-7 in late position, everyone just limps and BB checks, flop is 10-5-4 two clubs, BB leads out 20, I raise to 60, and Button calls and BB calls, Turn is a 7, BB checks and I fire out 200, BB thinks for a while, and I was like just fold, I have two pair, and he laughs, and was like you know what I have, and calls, then the small blind is like oh so you just have two pair, I guess I gota push, for 300 more, hmmmmmmmmmm I can not put him on a flush draw or set and I guess he is putting me on small two pair, I then go all in for 500 more,,, Button is like wow, there is around 1600 in the pot, and it is 500 more to him, he calls the clock on him self and decides to fold,a QC hits the river and the BB flips over 10-5 for two pair, DING! So my question is, do you call 500 more in a 1600 pot for one club to come? The Button was pretty upset with him self. I finally get called to the Omaha game and play a while there, Go up and down for a while but never play anything intresting the whole night or get out of line but still manage a 600 win and end up around 1500 for the night.

I went again sunday and had a couple problems with dealers not giving change to the blinds and almost shipping a pot to someone when it should have been chopped. half of them are new so you just have to pay extra attention

Went to the new poker room once already, but failed to grab any flyers on the upcoming tournament series in August. Does anyone have the event schedule for the Indian State Poker Championship? As for the poker room in General - Awesome - The biggest advantage I see is the game selection has opened up. They are now offering Omaha, Stud and Limit games versus just 1-3 and 2-5 No Limit.

I went to Hollywood a few weeks ago when they opened a day early and was very impressed with it. I hear that the 10-20 limit game went over the weekend and I am hopeful it will go wed & thurs also. I would like someones opinion on this. A friend of mine was told that the best days to go to the casino are around the 1st and the 15th because that's when people get their monthly checks. So the first thing they do after going to the store is go to the boat. Any truth to that?

Can someone tell me why it's now called Hollywood? Did they sell out?

Rumor I heard was because they spent so much money campaigning against casinos in Ohio, they just changed to make it look like they sold out.

Penn National Gaming bought the Argosy several years ago. Their casino brand name is Hollywood; they already have 4 or so other casinos elsewhere in the U.S. that have that name. At the time they bought Argosy they decided to keep the old name for the time being; however with the opening of the new boat they felt it was a good time to rename it with their brand name.
